*Tear* I wish the US would get ALL the cool stuff that came with the JP DragonBoxes.

EDIT: Since there will be 7 books split from 2, does that mean awesome new book cover art or will it be the same for 3 of them and the other 4 have the second cover?

Why can't the 4th set have both of the Book pictures? :P

That responce sort of confused me, but my point was there were 2 books since there were 2 boxes, since we have 7 boxes, do we get 5 new cover arts for the books?

And the response that confused you was meant to come out like, "The first three can have the first cover art. The fourth can somehow have both pieces of art. The last three can have the second cover art. It'll make everything equal."

yeah, thats the 2 options i was thinking, either use the same two for 1st 3 then the 2nd for the last 4...of the could draw up 5 new covers.

My first reaction to Funimation's announcement of this release was to laugh at the "suckers" that bought the orange bricks, because I held out for the Dragon Box release. Then, thinking better of it, I sort had to thank the "suckers", since it's probably because they bought those that we even get this release.

My next reaction was to immediately pre-order. Of course, I've gone up and down on whether I should have. DBZ is a big source of nostalgia for me, but I wouldn't call myself a "hardcore" fan or the show one of my favorite anime. I just want DBZ the best I can get it. I'll place it next to my Ronin Warriors boxset in my "nostalgia drawer", next to my ceramic Ryo-Ohki (made it in a ceramics class!) and Pokemon cards.

To be honest, I'm looking forward to some of the filler that DB Kai cut out. Yamcha on the baseball team, Gohan getting home, only to turn back to train, the fake Saiyans the gang trained with, the bug planet where Vegeta shows what a complete jerk he is, etc. Plus, the original score goes a long way.

I'm counting the days to the release.

I wonder, is there any chance of getting an alterate Ocean dub track?

Just kidding!

I don't know if this has been mentioned or not but is our domestic dbox set going to have the same dimensions as the Japanese dbox? which is 10 ¼ inches in height and 7 ½ inches in width. Hopefully they won't be like the season sets were the dvd's are stacked on top of each other.

So, i guess Funimation does listen to thier fans. They just decided to ignore them until this point. Obviously, they're only realesing this because everyone's saying that the Orange Bricks suck and that they wish they had Dragon Box stuff. If everyone said that they loved the Orange Bricks, FUNimation would probally re-release the Orange Bricks in BlueRay. I'm 100% sure that everyone wanting a Dragon Box had some part in FUNimation's decision. But hey, look on the bright side... They finally did something right.

I would kill for a little bit of new news right now.

What the hell FUNi!?
What dub track will be on this thing?
What extras can we expect?
Rock the Dragon?
What the hell were you guys thinking?
Gohan: At least he doesn't have his sword out anymore.
Kuririn: Yeah, and your dad put his finger away too.

They should be releasing new info sometime this month.

2300th post
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

The Dub tracks will be Japanese w/ English Subtitles, and most likely a Second Feature of English with Japanese BGM music and English with U.S. Brodcast Music. The Extras will most likely be simmilar to that of the japanese Dragon Box. I'm saying this because they're trying to make it as close to the Dragon Box as possible. Thats why they realesed the Dragon Box, with a Dragon Book, with the same art as the japanese Dragon Box in the same way, and why it goes strait to japanese, rather than it being on English and you have to change it to japanese. No, there most likely will not be "Rock the Dragon".

Well let's see, we've been asking for Dragon Box for 9 years, and they are finally giving us exactly what we want. What the hell were they thinking, giving us what we want, right?

One more thing. All you guys do is complain complain complain about FUNimation. I bet after the Dragon Box is realesed, people are going to complain that we don't have Dragon Ball Kai.[/quote]

Us complaining is a sign that we're still passionate about the program. I absolutely expect complaints that Funimation hasn't licensed Kai in the near future.

They won't be from me, however. I'm too attached to some of the filler and the original Kikuchi score. You're more likely to read me complain about a lack of Dragon Box for the original Dragon Ball.

The internet is for porn... and complaining.

Complaining about porn.

And Japanese cartoons.

Because whether you like it or not, FUNimation has been fucking abysmal when it comes to Dragonball releases. Whether it be poorly encoded DVDs, or cropped "remasters" or cancelled DVD released (mid "season" mind you), FUNimation has treated Dragonball as if it were a joke. Yes, we're getting the Dragon Box. Yes, that's good, but does it redeem FUNimation's horrible track record? I don't think so, it's been over a decade of abuse. So I think you'll find we have every right to complain.
