Looking for voice actors and artists

I'm surprised how many people volunteered before even a basic outline of the story was given.

I'm not a fan of self insertion/crossover fics, so good luck with it.

If there's not much interest, might I suggest the VAA? While obviously you ha ve interest here you're likely to find even more there.

Thank you good sir, I shall check it out.

And I did give a BIT of an outline, of saga one anyway. I'm trying to change the crossovers, but I don't know what to do with the Zerg and Protoss.

And for anyone who wants to audition for a part, please send it to dragonballverto@gmail.com (link to or audio file is fine). I will leave the line choice up to you, since i assume youall know the characters well enough (except for Verto which I will send lines to anyone who is interested).

Typically I'd feel the same way, but somehow what we got in the first few posts pulled me in. ^_^

I'm still not sure if I'll try anything this week (I hit my head over the weekend and it's still making certain things difficult. And the humidity at my current location will probably wreck my mic...), but if I do anything, it'll probably be today (Tomorrow would impress me...).
I think I'll send to the email address you posted (I don't care for doing anything but watching on youtube. Hehehe...).
I'll probably go for a diverse range of characters (Heck, if I try before I go home, I might attempt Bulma

). I think I'll try and work with the Trunks and Verto bit you posted, unless there's other stuff you want me to go for...
(I've an account at the VAA, if you want me to do something there... for organization's sake?

).

One more thing... I happen to know a ten-year-old who isn't too incredibly horrible at voiceacting on occasion. I'm more concerned at what sort of content we're looking at (

); more so on characters he'd be capable of than the project in general, heh. Mostly profanity and blatent inuendo and such. (Never mind that he's watched all of DBZ:Abridged.

There is quite a bit of swearing even from Goten and Trunks, most of which is either from when they are Gotenks or setting up a joke (usually having them hit by one of Chichi's frying pans of doom which is a recurring theme). Verto swears quite a bit and makes sexual jokes to since he has the mind of a 21 year old.

And about what you guys are saying about crossovers, I'm usually not a fan myself (far from it) but the way he writes is just really good and if I didn't know anything about Starcraft it would seem like the Zerg, Terran, and Protoss really are from Dragonball.

Well I've decided to give an actual outline in attempts to hopefully get more people interested.

I'll start with saga one, if people want more then I shall outline the other sagas later.

Saga one: The UnNAtural Saiyan- Dave, a young man living on earth at a car dealership (or repair shop, I don't remember and I'm too lazy to check), is visited by a strange man with purple hair while at work one day. The two talk and the man eventually leaves. Dave goes out for dinner later that night and sees the man's car. He notices the sword in the back seat and realizes that the man is very familiar. When he goes into the restaurant he sees that the man has a great amount of dishes on his table. Dave is sure he should know this man but can't remember where he met him. A day or two later The man and a woman with blue hair go back to the car... place. As soon as Dave sees the woman he recognizes them as Trunks and Bulma Briefs.

Dave is later told that he will turn into a saiyan on his twenty second birthday (I may be off but it doesn't REALLY matter). Dave tells his family what is going to happen to him and leaves to go spend the night with Bulma and Trunks in their dimension travelling time machine thats disguised as an old farmhouse (or something to that effect).

Over the course of the night Dave becomes a Saiyan. The only problem is that his body reverts back to the form of a seven year old. Dave goes back to his family and after a few sad goodbyes with them and his friends, Dave, Trunks and Bulma leave Earth.

As they are leaving the solar system so that they can safely switch dimensions, Frieza attacks the ship. With no other option, Trunks gives Verto (Dave's new Saiyan name given to him by Bulma) some capsules and says to show them to Bulma at Capsule Corp when they get to the other dimension, and pushes him into the time machine that was used during the android saga and sends him on his way (one person can safely switch dimensions but the entire ship couldn't).

Verto appears in West city and begins to look around. He soon meets Videl and after saving her from some criminals she was trying to fight, she gives him a ride to Capsule Corp in her helicopter. Once the two of them get to Capsule Corp., Videl goes to tlak to Dr. Briefs about her helicopter and Verto talks to Vegeta and shows him the capsules from Trunks. Inside them were a letter from Trunks and his sword. Vegeta is convinced and adopts Verto as a second son.

A week or two later, after Verto meets everyone, Vegeta flies Verto to the lookout where he takes him into the Hyperbolic time chamber (I know some of you may not like the name but the entire story uses dub names) and trains him there for about 6 months (I think). There is no worry of going over the 2 use limit since Piccolo and Dende wished the restriction away. While inside Verto learns to become a Super Saiyan and his overall strength is around Trunks' and Goten's level.

Saga one ends with the announcement of of Goku coming back for a day to compete in the tournament. Obviously there were large portions of that missing but thats the general plot of saga one.

No offense, but, there's probably a reason no one's interested anymore.

First of all, this sounds like a really bad fanfiction. Secondly, this "Character" of yours seems to be nothing more than a self insert(that borders on being Gary Stuish). Thirdly, characters are acting in ways that they normally wouldn't(seriously, Vegeta just accepts him?).

Again, no offense.

I'm still interested; just a bit discouraged by how horribly I failed to record anything last time I tried.

I'm gonn' go ahead and mension that I tried an audio project of my own in 2006; I got a whole two people that were actually somewhat enthused 9or at least put in effort), while everyone else kinda auditioned intensely then vanished, resulting in project death.

. Looking at the Room29 Fandub of movie3, and... I think another one or two things around here... I'd say your chances are as good as anyone's, wacky character twists or no. ^_^

Well, you have to accept that Verto is the main character, sure he usually is the one to kill the enemy, but not without a LOT of help from the others, and I don't know how you got Verto being "Gary Stu" out of the outline for saga one.

And Vegeta is actually quite suspicious of Verto at first, until Verto shows him Trunks' stuff, Vegeta sees the note, and gets the full story from Verto, he's ready to kill him.

It's also an alternate universe than the one in the show (pretty much the same to this point except for a few differences that are explained later).

So please read something besides a quick (read as: rushed) summary of one saga of something before posting about it.

By the way, I was already thinking of making changes so it isn't Verto getting the final blows most of the time.
