My order on RS that has Dragonball Season 1 has shipped. Considering Right Stuf's shipping, I should be getting it this weekend.
Really? A whole month early? I thought they got in trouble once because they did that with One Piece. *goes and checks his own order* Mine hasn't shipped yet but it's changed from "On Order From Manufacturer" to "Reserved for your order". Won't be much longer now I suppose.

Edit-Oh wait my mistake. It's more like three weeks. That seems more around their schedule (I think)

If they ship it soon, you'll get in in ABOUT a week.
That's 2 weeks Early, just about right.

Stuff always arrives in less time with Right Stuf. For me at least.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

According to that same user Kamehameblah on FUNi's forum it also seems as if the English dub is exactly the same as the previous releases due to the insert songs in episodes 28-30 are still missing, but at least the dub is in 5.1 surround sound this time meaning it's going to be time to rip some unreleased BGM from the series.

Frustrating, considering I actually can tolerate the Dragonball dub and enjoy it on occasion.

Where did you order from? Mine was from rightstuf. If you got it there one of their shipping options will ship when everything in your order comes in. So if you ordered stuff not in yet it won't ship.

Saw it at FYE for $50. Couldn't resist. Their prices might be high but I can always count on them for breaking street dates.

Set is great aside from the fact that the two missing insert songs are still missing in the dub. A real shame.

Pretty much nothing has changed on the dub then right?

Aside from the 5.1 mix (Which I must say sounds wonderful), yes, it seems to be exactly the same.

So Roshi still says "Let me see your belly button."?
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

No, but I believe that was only in the TV cut and the Madman release always had the "Let me see your underwear" line.

I think that's one of the few lines that actually changed from edited to uncut because it kind of changes everything about the scene (If I remember right, on the TV cut Roshi asks to see Bulma's belly button and she gladly obliges and it's done within a few seconds).

And by the way, if anybody has unreleased BGM they want ripped I can do it. Just give me the specific episode and scene you have in mind and I'll get it.

I got mine from RightStuf today too. The only bad thing I gotta say is no alternate angles, meaning no Japanese title cards for the episodes and no next episode previews. I only watched the first disc so far and I'm enjoying it!

I just noticed that a "Shao" by Mai slips in episode 2. I never understood why they changed Shu's name for the TV broadcast of the first 13 episodes in the first place. Dunno if that little slip-up is on the Madman set or not. Confused the hell out of me being used to Shao and they started calling him Shu halfway into the series with no explanation.

I want to have the complete version of these episodes. I don't feel like Funi's "Remastered" sets are. So I'll be holding out for Funi's Dragonball Dragon Box sets.
Next quest: Buy the Super: Broly and Super Hero Blurays, also Daima whenever that releases in the states. Also the Super Manga!

Fan of Dragon Ball Z and various other Anime since '98! ^^
