Porunga Surprise!
Porunga Surprise!
This was my latest dub, which is being posted here a bit late due to the forum's bandwidth issues. I really like my voices in this one and I think Inna' did a great job in the editting department. As for the humor itself...

Well, at least there isn't farting or poop. Comments, plz.

The lack of comments makes me sad.

Remix, most works that aren't Teamfourstar and DB Multiverse get ignored here. Even Gozar's thread for ARDBZ died quickly - don't take it personal.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
"Remix" bring back your awesome avatar and get rid of your negative signature. Many of us appreciate your work even if we do not post enough.
As for this one, I loved the outcome even if it was a bit predictable.
I have to say though, my favorite part was the first half on Namek. Vegeta is obviously an evil bastard . . . a sequel to DB: Evolution is just madness!!!

HAH! Well... There's a big difference between ARDBZ and Remix's work.bkev wrote:Even Gozar's thread for ARDBZ died quickly - don't take it personal.
I've come to the realization that Daizex isn't the place for fan stuff. Most members would rather see new calender artwork or a Kai BGM CD than any sort of fan artwork/dub/ext. Personally I like the fan stuff the most because that's where the series is still alive, in the hearts of fans. Most importantly, fans do things for free and no other reason than to add to the community and share laughs with people who enjoy the same things. I wish everybody felt that way...

Yeah, pretty much. I used to post fandubs all the time. Now, I'm really reluctant to post them here. I enjoy the "Constructive Criticism" but, either it goes unnoticed or it does really well. I stopped doing fandubs for Dragon Ball 'cause I can't find a character that my voice suits.Innagadadavida wrote:HAH! Well... But, anyways. Keep up the good work, Remix! Still as great as ever, I'm probably the only one that doesn't mind that you're not doing Dickolo jokes. I mean, yeah, they're funny, but it kinda tends to repeat itself after awhile. My only complaint would have to be Mic quality, but you can always change that.

You may be right Innagadadavida but I for one greatly enjoy fan work and I agree with SSJ4 Furanki's observations on the value of fan made material. Yet there are a couple of major ones under way that have stolen the limelight from individual examples of enjoyable parodies such as WeeklyTubeShow's (Remix's) work.

Quite frankly, there's nothing that will turn me off *more* from watching any type of composition than the creator, themselves, getting moderately whiny about not getting more attention.Remix wrote:The lack of comments makes me sad.

You can take that harshly if you want, but it's the honest truth.

You go out of your way to tell the honest truth an awful lot, I noticed.VegettoEX wrote:You can take that harshly if you want, but it's the honest truth.

From the last two threads you've made I've noticed you are snarky towards anyone who disagrees with you.Remix wrote:You go out of your way to tell the honest truth an awful lot, I noticed.VegettoEX wrote:You can take that harshly if you want, but it's the honest truth.
My friend broke my PSP just in time for Naruto Ultimate Ninja 5 to come out....WHOOOO!
I didn't really think I was snarky in this particular case.
Maybe in the last thread, sure, but I never intended for that to turn into a nasty e-brawl. *shrug*

If someone honestly criticizes me, I try to improve so that there will no longer be a need for said criticism. I prefer the "honest truth".

Hardly a nasty e-brawl, just don't expect silence to mean something else . . . such as people don't like your work. And threatening to grab your ball and go home does not usually elicit a positive response.Remix wrote:I didn't really think I was snarky in this particular case.

The fact that he said something negative about me in particular wasn't quite what I was referring to in my post. But, the observation that I was referring to is pretty much irrelevant. As a matter of fact, in hindsight, I probably shouldn't have even said anything. Ah, well. Sorry.Metalwario64 wrote:So he should lie and tell you to keep it up?

I know what Remix is talking about. VegettoEX does that type of thing a lot; he doesn't make any comments about something unless its something that he can criticize, or so I've perceived. There's nothing wrong with criticism, but if you want it to be classified as constructive, it's usually better to include something positive or at least relevant. Otherwise, one would come off as a total pompous asshole that deserves a good punch to the balls sometimes.
