Whenever this topic comes up (and it's fairly frequently) this and the backstory of the child of Kattatsu are always the first things that spring to my mind and glow most fervently in my heart for revelations. There's just so much possibility for awesome there.FistOfTheSun wrote: the domination of Piccolo Daimao and his battles with Mutaito 300 years prior to his introduction in the series.

Here's an idea for a funny short (5-7 min Jump Festa): GT's 30th Budokai has Pan saying she's fought in more than one Budokai before (28th and therefore 29th), whereas NMZ2 shows that Thunderbolt won the 29th Budokai. The whole short would be a battle between 7-year-old Pan and Boo in the 29th Budokai's semi-final match. Boo wins, advancing to the final against Thunderbolt. The winner, as usual since Budokai 27, advances to challenge Satan for the title of Super-Champion. In the stands is Tori-bot, so Boo flies off to shake his hand. This causes him to be considered out of bounds, meaning Satan must somehow fight Thunderbolt (or come up with a funny way to "let him" win).

I would really like a look into the pasts of Tenshinhan, Kuririn and Yamucha. I remember the flashback scene where it shows a young Tenshinhan getting his ass handed to him by Tao Pai Pai during the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai and I really think they could add to this.
Although, at this stage, I would enjoy anything similar to the Jump Special.

I was going to say have someone die, but then realized that almost everyone has died on the show.
But seriously, I wouldn't want it to be as much of a comedy as the last one. I'd like another epic battle and maybe have someone die and stay dead with their spirit being destroyed or something; I always thought it was cheap how they just brought Vegeta back after he willingly destroyed himself to fight Buu but I digress...
I also think it would be humorous to see how many plot-holes they could fill in one special. "This is actually how Trunks got his sword." "This is why Pan can't go SSJ." Etc...

What they should really do is have a comically serious movie special about a completely irrelevant character dying of something, take the whole movie mourning them, people arguing, fights breaking out over relationships, folks institutionalized for depression. Really extreme seriousness that's way over the top. Like, Goku gets a drinking problem over it, even though it was an extremely minor character.BrollysKin wrote:I was going to say have someone die, but then realized that almost
Meanwhile, the character is in the afterworld insisting that they'll be brought back by the Dragon Balls, but nobody bothers to wish them back, even though they clearly can. In fact, the characters gather the Dragon Balls and wishes for something else entirely.
They need to pick a character who nobody gives a damn about. Like the turtle. Or the Budoukai announcer.
Kentai wrote:Son Gokuu is a fascinating character anyway, because he is - at face value, anyway - an idiot savant. The victim of violent head trauma as an infant [...] he's a simple bumpkin with a fair share of brain damage who's natural talents to work out what's wrong compensate for his broad lack of common sense. But he's also a fighter, through and through [...] he fight until he has, in no uncertain terms, beaten his enemy on terms they can both acknowledge. He doesn't want to kill anyone, or even prove that he can win... he just wants to know he can. He's an ineffably charming bastard who's manly leanings were really incendental, and yes, the fact that he was voiced by a squeaky woman made the combination perhaps all the more charming.

Can I get a Schemen?
For some reason this gives me the mental image of a tired Goku with rims under his eyes sitting at a dimly lit bar, slouched over in his seat with dozens of messy-looking sundae glasses around him while he sips away at a slightly-melting alcoholic ice-cream-sundae-like concoction. The bartender approaches him and tells him he thinks Goku's had enough before Goku snaps and demands more sprinkles on his sugary-looking drink.
Anyways, I wouldn't mind if they were just poking fun; Dr. Slump poked fun at different genres all the time. I distinctly remember one where they were making fun of fairy tales; they really hammed it up, it was great. X3

On hiatus.
... oh, god. I would die a happy man if this movie was made. I'm not sure which would be funnier, the Budokai announcer or Umigame; the Budokai announcer would be funny since he's just an acquaintance the cast has barely seen since the 23rd Budokai, but the idea of Goku developing a drinking problem and relationships torn apart over the turtle is just...penguintruth wrote:What they should really do is have a comically serious movie special about a completely irrelevant character dying of something, take the whole movie mourning them, people arguing, fights breaking out over relationships, folks institutionalized for depression. Yes, this movie has to be made. Let's all petition Toei.

I think the Goku-Vegeta mini adventure is a brilliant idea! The innards of Buu is one of my favourite episodes, I don't care it's filler it's just plain hillarious.
It could actually combine with the first idea about the past of Vegeta, Radditz and Nappa and the destruction of Vegetaseii. Vegeta could have some sort of moment, or have his thoughts read by some device which enables us to delve further into history. I also agree with hearing more about his hate towards Cui (And Guldo and Zarbon.)

Goku's adventures in Other World, Toriyama's personal take on what the Other World would be like, and maybe a cool scene with the Metamors fusing and actually giving him somewhat of a challenge. And, as an added bonus, show his first time transforming into a SSJ3!

Roshi telling a story to another character or characters. Followed by a flashback that becomes the special. Training Gohan and Ox, and participation in one of the earlier World Tournaments. I'd love to see Gohan and a chubby little Ox lugging their milk crates around the island, and Roshi and Gohan going at it in a Tournament final or something.

At that moment, just as Goku hits rock bottom, a strange yet familiar woman enters his gaze: Mistress Snake. Son finds himself powerless to resist. She begins to fill the void in Goku's shattered, fragile life... Poor Chi Chi never stood a chance. If you ever wondered why Goku suddenly became a jerk to his family, there ya go. Isn't it convenient how eager Goku is to stay the afterlife? Oh, and this also explains Goku's newfound love of training far away from his family. Yes, that's it... training.
"Mommy, I didn't get a magical sword for Christmas. Can I have one?"In fact, the characters gather the Dragon Balls and wishes for something else entirely.
"Sure Trunks."
Yet another mystery solved thanks to the powers of fan-fiction!
On-topic, I would enjoy a TV movie about either Freeza's past or the Legendary Super Saiyan (or some other Saiyan history).
Edit: Why didn't I think of this earlier? We NEED a DBZ version of the opening to Flinstones on the Rocks.
