There is a rumor, that the first box will be cost 72,95€ ...

Oh and I don't like the cover. Somehow it looks cheap.
€73?!?! That's too dear, that's why we shouldn't have Dragon Ball Z in the UK, they'd do the shitty Season Sets at about £50 each. (It's about £30 to import them)

"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.

The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

Even though I'm American I'm tempted to get this for laughs but I'm getting the Dragon Box so I'll wait to laugh at this cut DVD release.

I mean, you're pretty open about looking at cartoon porn. Why would you do that? It's fiction. The proportions of these women are not possible to reach in reality.

Well, it's from 20 year old French masters. ;)

The whole packaging reminds me on FUNis season sets. :?

Oh, man. Only the edited TV version? Well, I suppose there's always the US DBoxes or those "DBoxes" from Spain.

Also there are the new pretty good Italian DVDs.

BUT!

All these foreign releases aren't real alternatives for "normal" fans. Not everyone can order from an US onlineshop and if he can, the shipping is often expensive. Sure, from Spain it's cheaper but unlike English, very few people speak Spanish here. ;)

Oh and I'm not trying do defend this "Edit Bricks". There are the pure shit but Germany's anime business is really down. So there is no way we could get a proper release.

Whoops. I was going from the, "Screw it, I'm importing. Even if it's not in a language I completely understand," perspective like when I was importing R2s. I partially understood it and compensated for the rest with prior knowledge of the story. I figured you could grab the DVDs from Spain, switch it to Japanese, and call it a day.

I completely forgot to take into account that most people would skip out on that option due to a lack of subtitles. Oops.

Wait, the French got the dragonbox set

Can anyone give me a link as what it looks like or some information about it. If it is as good, or almost as good, as the japanese dragonbox, I'm in heaven!

I don't know where to find those sets, but I don't think that they're what we got in the US or what Japan got. It might be from the high-quality masters Toei used to make the DBox, but I'm pretty sure that the US is the first country outside of Japan to get the DBox footage as Japan got it. I think Spain used that same HQ footage to make their "DBox," too and that's why I was speculating on getting them for awhile when the R2's looked out of my price range.

I didn't say that. What we got over here in Germany are 20 year old French masters for the TV series, which are edited.

BUT: Yes there are French DBZ boxsets and Kendamu is right, there are not "the" Dragon Box altough there are pretty good. I think sangofe made a thread about these.

Hudemx, could you please post some comparison screens to these screens from episodes 30 and 31 that jjgp1112 posted in the Funi Dragon Box thread?

AB France did remastering from the 16 mm films, which was very well done, but the encoding was horrible, and yes, I have made a thread of the first series box. As for finding it, the search option is your friend.
