Bah! I was so convinced I'd win...but I forgot it was only Dragon Ball pictures as well. Pssshh....yeah, congratulations to Daniel and all...
Dammit!!1! It should've been me!!!
Dude, a lot of the authors for the non-DB images not by Toriyama did a pretty good job at emulating him.

Just checked my e-mail box to see two new contest entry forms.

Not sure what planet these people are living on.

Ahh a lot of mistakes, as expected. I only actually got one landscape image wrong. =flexes muscle= I didn't understand that it was specifically Dragonball though... a lot of my wrong choices were Toriyama, but not Dragonball. Sadface.

But I got the 18/Krillin kiss right, so go me!

Congrats to Daniel. You are freaking hardcore, man.

I didn't even try for multiple reasons:
1.) 200 images? That's killer on someone with dial-up. Took me half an hour just to load them all.
2.) Some of them were just too freaking tough. I swear, you'd need the entire stack of mangas right next to you to tell.
3.) By the time I saw all of the images, there was only an hour left until the contest's completion. Smeh.

Anyway, it was fun seeing the comparisons. But where did you get all of those spiffy doujinshii? Especially Head-Cha-La - it looks rather interesting.

Really? I'm on dialup, and only had one minor problem (the first time I loaded the page, it stopped before getting through the last 25 sets of images, but refreshing the page got me the rest of the with no more problems. The pics were pretty small, so it didn't take long, certainly less then five minutes.

Anyway, yesterday after sending in my form, my guess for how well I did was 82. I was pretty close to that, though slightly better with an 84. If I had rechecked some of the earlier images after completing it (I was tricked by some of the early Head Cha La images, but by the end I recognized their style) then I probably could have had more, but oh well. Congrats to the winner!

86% isn't bad, I guess. Uh, mad props to Dan and all of the other runner ups. I would have been pissed if I was that guy with 98% (chuquita I think). Man that must suck.

But, good job anyway.

I completely missed it due to school shenanigans. :(

Ah well, it looks like it was fun, and congradulations to the winner.

We were kind of assuming that our viewers had something better than a 2400-baud modem. Guess we'll keep that in mind next time. In fact, why not take it a step further and just make the site text-only? That should make it load up in, I dunno... for you I'd guess about 15 minutes for the main page. :P

Bah I was hoping for a contest that actually took some creativity.

Umm... like the last two?

Every contest can't be "Open up Photoshop" or "Write something very clever".

I just wish I'd stop either losing my work or forgetting about the contests. I eventually found my DB GT cover, but it was way too late to submit (it got lost on the C drive heh). Hopefully next time I'll remember to do something.

6:05 pm Thursday evening, and I just received another contest entry.

Like Meri just said to me, I'm sure every couple of weeks I'll get a new one. Even after I replace the "Contest" index and have it archived.

Catfight!

And you know what, even though I couldn't participate...I think these sort of contests are a lot more fun and "fair" than "open canvas" type stuff. Besides, look how fast we had results.

Of course you already know this I hope, because I can't wait to see what fun contests you make up in the future. It's refreshing on a "personal" site like this to see the creativity of the webmasters come into play rather than just a simple rules page telling you it's "imagination time."

Because of this "imagination time", pictures such as Super Saiyan 5 are created.

**takes test only now** BAH! I'm glad I didn't enter: I got #98 wrong. I am NOT a true DB Manga purist! I must shave my head in pennance! :(

oh now that would make the ultimate contest - design a DB AF DVD cover - then we'll see millions of them on crazy people's websites.

That would be so sweet...but like you said, then we'd be finding them on all sorts of websites, claiming they're the real deal.

Crap, I actually missed it :x ! Anyway, I checked out the contest images right now, the irony in #53 is thick enough to cut with a knife  .
#70 was hilarious, I sincerely hope everyone got that right.

I hope I'm wrong, but I think I know where you got the 'fake' #66 image  .

Umm... it lists right there on the answers page where all of the "incorrect" answers come from...
