I still would even if it ONLY had English, becuase Id want the DBox footage.

I can't speak or understand Japanese so Id pass on the JP only voices....as that would be the ACTUAL DBox.

I would buy the bricks instead. Which I may do. I may drop the Dragon Box.

Absolutely not. It would set us back 13 years.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

Yeah, in that case the Remastered Sets would be better.

You're still talking about if it was dub only right? Right??

Good. Phew! Now I might not get blamed if they get canceled! :)

No chance in hell. I probably wouldn't even touch it if it was sub-only either.

Agreed. It would be ridiculous to put only one audio track on there. I enjoy both versions. They've both been on nearly all of the US DBZ DVDs. I damn well better continue getting both on my DVDs.

I'm in the generation of fans that started with Toonami, so I totally empathize with the feeling of having "missed the party", experiencing disappointment, and wanting to experience it myself. But I can't, that's how life is. Time is a bitch. The party is over. Kageyama, Kikuchi, and Maeda are off the sauce now; Yanami almost OD'd; Yamamoto got arrested; Toriyama's not going to light trash cans on fire and hang from the chandelier anymore. We can't get the band back together, and even if we could, everyone's either old, in poor health, or calmed way the fuck down. Best we're going to get, and are getting, is a party that's almost entirely devoid of the magic that made the original one so awesome that we even want more.

No, because I don't care enough about the Dbox' s 'quality' to pay more for its footage.

I enjoy both the English and Japanese versions of the show, and having only one version would really suck.
Next quest: Buy the Super: Broly and Super Hero Blurays, also Daima whenever that releases in the states. Also the Super Manga!

Ok let me change the question
Would you buy the funi dragon boxes if they were dubbed only but with a brand new dub with everything changed that made you hate the original dub?

Only if it was very cheap. These days it's just foolish to not include the original, though.

I'd buy it. I only ever watch the Japanese version out of morbid curiosity.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

Nope. Wouldn't buy it. If it was broadcast on TV I may watch it, or if Funi hosted it on their YouTube account, but I would definitely not buy it if the original Japanese audio wasn't an option.
On hiatus.

Pretty much this.

TheGreatness25 wrote:I'd probably do it and do what I did with Z. I had 2 DVD players in my living room (long story behind that), so I put in the Season Sets in one DVD player with surround sound and turned that on. At the same time I put in a Full Screen DVD into the other DVD player. I'd sync them up to play at the same time and make it so that the surround sound played the English voice track with original Japanese music, while having the TV show the Full Screen version. I know, kinda pointless in some peoples' eyes, but hey, it worked. So if they had a dub only version of the Dragon Boxes, that's what I would do with having a Season Set DVD playing through surround sound for the original Japanese audio while having the Dragon Box playing on the TV

That is ridiculous. Seriously. You would have to sync it up and hit the play button at the EXACT right second in order for it to play correctly. That is serious, borderline crazy, dedication.
