Probably. GT should have used SS2Vegetto.caejones wrote:Am I the only one who likes Goku being chibified throughout GT?![]()
Why do (some) fans hate DBGT?

Nah , I believe SS4Goku is stronger than SS1Vegetto. But SS2Vegetto could easily kill SS4Goku. That is what I believe.Rocketman wrote:Then you are wrong, sir. The only character stronger than Vegetto is SSJ4 Gogeta.SSVegetto wrote:I consider SSJ4 Goku stronger than SSVegetto.
Now if I would have said SS4Goku is stronger than SS2Vegetto. I think I would be wrong.
I believe Vegetto could have went Super Saiya-jin 2 since both Goku and Vegeta could. But he never needed to, because Majin Buu was no match for him.
It's hard to explain, but the characters didn't feel familiar to me anymore in GT. I was happy with the way the manga ended. Everyone had grown up, but the families were still close with each other and their personalities were still the same. I don't mind if a character's personality or attitude changes, but only if I'm able to watch that character grow and develop overtime. Drastically changing a character over a "timeskip" without good reason bothers me, especially in a series like Dragonball. In GT everyone was too distant and the lack of communication between the characters made it worse.
Trunks is my favorite character so I was thrilled when I heard he was going to be one of the main three in GT. How can a character have so much screen-time and yet have such little importance and development? His personality wasn't very clear either. He doesn't like his job and would rather go to the martial arts tournament... and yet he'd rather sit in his office than travel into space? He was just a foil for Pan and Goku. From what I've heard, they decided to change his personality because Future Trunks had a "solemn" personality in the Android/Cell Saga (so they assumed Trunks from the regular timeline would have the same personality when he grew up.) That still does not make any sense to me, they grew up under completely different circumstances. I liked how their different personalities used to reflect that.
This is my source, I'm not sure if it's accurate:

I also hated how Videl was just there for the sake of being there. She didn't appear very often in the movies, but at least she still had a personality.
Aside from bastardizing my favorite characters; I disliked most of the new character designs and the plot ideas, while interesting, were carried out poorly. That last episode still bothers me too(everyone except Pan is dead and Goku's family/Bulma's family lose contact)...
But I do love the opening and ending themes and I thought a few of the first episodes were decent.

This is where I drew the line.

Three the art's just hideous most of the time. The squareness of it all with that plastic sheen where huge highlights on people's faces are paper white- seriously I understand stylization to a degree but they all just look ridiculous.

This is where I drew the line.

I hate GT because it was made by Toei and not Toriyama.

That is simply Goukuuh's tail growing out.

Eh, I wouldn't call it a plot hole. Shenlong just turned him into a child, not into his literal Dragon Ball self. If he had, he'd be a lot weaker.Goku really should have gained that tail when he was turned back into a child, but it's obvious it was a plot hole.
The episode involved the kais and a green robotic tanuki pulling Goku's tail out of his ass with a giant pair of pliers. I think that's reason enough for some fans to hate this series.I don't remember watching that episode, but it appears to be his tail getting ready to burst out of his (above his) asshole.
I thought Pan's character design was cool. I'm not so fond of Trunks' cargo shorts. I liked his outfit in the last episode of dbz so much more. I like Bra's design too. Everyone else's was kind of ugly.DominatorLost wrote:Also, am I the only one who liked Trunks and Pan's designs? Also, a lot of things in GT didn't make sense. Like Goku said that General Raido was just as powerful as Majin Buu, which made abselutely no sense considdering Majin Buu was the most powerful being in the universe, and General Raido just happened to be as strong? It also dosen't make sense why Bebi didn't absorb Goku, the most powerful saiyan, but abosrbed Goten, Gohan, and Vegeta, the son of the man who killed him. It would make more sense to fight the son of the person who killed you rather than a child. Ans FUNimation made it even worse, by firing Bruce Falconer, which they've been using to make BGM for DBZ for years, and replaced it with R&B and Rap Music. The lines of the English Dub was the worst part, though.
