I went shopping and bought Dragonball Z Manga vol 7-18 at the same time

I went to the counter carrying all of them and the girl behind the counter gave me a look like I was some sort of crazy Otaku nerd, I didnt care cause I didnt have those volumes and I dont go manga shopping often

There are some things that I'll never be able to destroy from my memory. The fact that I actually paid for it makes it all worse. Then there's the misleading cover art. I hate when the art on the cover looks fabulous, but the inside is just filled with half-assed scribbles. Makes me want to kill something.
Same to you ^^

And that.... is why I really only buy circles I know now unless the book is under three dollars. If you already know who did it you know you'll like the art, how the characters are portrayed, what they do in them, the flow of the story, ect.... You pick something up for just a cover it's a dangerous game, and it sounds like ya lost this time.

An E-baying you shall go I assume?
Yeah, I have a bad habit of buying based on the pretty cover art. It's just so tempting. That last one I posted wasn't too bad, it was just far too short and sketchy.... it's infuriating(the book itself was only 600 yen, but the extra fees that the deputy service charged me turned out to be more than I planned on spending).

Which is why I prefer Ebay over Yahoo!Japan. Not only are they cheaper, but they usually give more info on the book. If it's an adult doujin, I want to know before I decide whether I want it or not.

The one that I got this week was much better:

Like you said, it's much better to buy a doujin written by an artist/circle your familiar with. I have several others by this artist. His/her/their work is always gorgeous (and worth the money.)

I didn't have time to scan it, but I also got fan-made Dragon Ball stationary(it had the Son family on it) as an omake.

Haha!! I love that book ^^ I've been looking for other titles by them but someone always snatches the Love Calls out from under me, and I haven't seen Miracle Lunch Box in years.

Shin Budokai for PSP. I bought this a while ago but forgot to post. Anyway, I beat the game and it's nothing special.
If challenge had a taste, you'd be quite delicious.

Brought another doujinshi for my club.

Image

It's your average "I love Goku" and "I love too Chichi" *Kissy noises* doujinshi. From the art I could've sworn it came out early 90's or something but it was published less than two years ago! Hell, it was cheap so I'm not complaining.

Your avatar is too large. This site's limit is 80 x 80.

Cool figure though.

I see my bad since I'm not used to the rules here. Well I'm going to pre order Dragon Ball: Raging Blast tomorrow after I pay off my pre order for Halo: ODST (if that counts).

I really like how that looks. Is there any chance you could pm me some pictures of its content? I'm rather curious.

Can someone tell me what the cheapest place would be to order the English Dragonbox? The store in Europe I waited for to pick up this release will sell it for €70,- (tax and shipping incl.) which would roughly be 102 US Dollars at the moment. I'm not sure if I can save some money if I order it from the USA but needed to ask anyway.
So what would you suggest? Amazon? Rightstuff (do they still have that dragonball coupon thing going on)? Or any other store?

PS: They locked the Dragonbox thread and I thought this would be the best place to ask instead of making a whole new thread.
PPS: Nice collection everyone!

There's actually nothing inside except for black sheets and slots where you put your cards. It's just a card holder. :)

Just went on a combined Ebay/Amazon splurge and the first packages have only started to trickle in... what there aren't pictures of I'll take when they get here.

First- cool little blue kid's t-shirt with a classic shot of the gang. I'm short as hell so I fix in XL kid's sixes >_> It's a little sad, but it lets me wear crazy old stuff.
EDIT- pic ^^ Image

Second- just paid for a bunch of scattered gashapon, mostly Piccolos.
Image
This however, is not a Piccolo, and I was so damn happy when I saw one I had to jump on it.

Third- The last one I needed of my favorite doujinshi series ever, Taku Fusamich's AUN books!
ImageImage
I've been collecting this series since '02 and I've finally picked up the last book :D Aaaaahaha, I can't wait.

Fourth- And last but not least, I bit the bullet and put in orders for the last few singles I needed to finish my entire set. Once the second Dragonbox comes out I'll own the entire show in Japanese and I'm so marathoning this baby.
EDIT- got Temptation in the mail today :D I now own the entire Cell saga on dvd. Baaaadass.

I bought Dragon Ball VIZBIG volume 1. I actually ordered it online, and they sent me Dragon Ball Z by mistake, so I just decided to go buy it at the store, as I would've gotten DBZ eventually anyway.
