FUNimation could still exist as a smaller asset, just owned by that other company. So hopefully, there will still be Saiyan and Namek Sagas remade Uncut... or at least Funimation people would still be there. Also, keep in mind GT isn't over quite yet...I believe on CN, SSJ4 Gogeta has just appeared. And there's still the "Lost Episodes" Box Set... PLUS DBZ movies are still underway.. including the next one, with Broli's second appearence. There's also still: Bio-Broli, Janenba, and.. umm, the Godzilla bug thing in 13.
Because Kaio-Ken just doesn't cut it anymore.
According to the press release, it looks like Navarre is merely buying Funimation, not necessarily taking them over (which would imply a replacement of individuals in the corporation, or some sort of restructuring). So, we can assume Funimation will continue business as usual.
SJ Dragonball Graphic Novel, Volume 9, page 60. That is all.

For a second there I thought there was going to be no more FUNi. Don't know if that's good or bad, as I don't really watch anime. Then again, I'm used to FUNi since I used to watch the anime all the time.
I was voted "most unique" and "most likely to become the next existential thinker" in high school.

This quote may clear up any concerns on Funi releasing the remaining DVDs:
"We are extremely excited to join the Navarre family of companies," said Gen Fukunaga, president of FUNimation Productions, Ltd. "Utilizing Navarre's capital structure and distribution efficiencies will aid FUNimation in its ongoing business."

Aren't you contradicting yourself here?*PINHEAD* wrote:For a second there I thought there was going to be no more FUNi. Don't know if that's good or bad, as I don't really watch anime. Then again, I'm used to FUNi since I used to watch the anime all the time.
Empires rise and fall, but evil is eternal.
Pft...You think you have it bad ? They've not aired anything beyond the first two Saban seasons in India.Caracal wrote:Seeing as how FUNi's DBZ dubs haven't been shown here since the Trunks saga, I really don't care (though when they first aired the Fusion saga, they showed the FUNi version for a few months then suddenly switched to the Ocean version... strange).
That's why I love my DVDs.
I really don't think FUNI will change all that much. Considering that they have a lot of releases coming up (and not just DB/Z/GT) they really wouldn't have allowed a takeover.
My heart is calm. It is quiet and pure. Make no mistake though, it's pure evil.

Well no. I think what he means is other than DB, he doesn't really watch other anime shows.NightBlade wrote:Aren't you contradicting yourself here?*PINHEAD* wrote:For a second there I thought there was going to be no more FUNi. Jerseymilk: "Can I tell you something?"
B-kun: "What?"
Jerseymilk: "I see Fangirls."
