Amazing electric guitar covers

Post by Shiyonasan » Thu Sep 03, 2009 9:02 pm

I am in awe of this guy. He makes a few mistakes, but he is definitely one of the best I've seen on the internet.

Here is his profile. His name is Yuh Matsuda and he is 28 years old from Tokyo, Japan. He's also got tabs for We Gotta Power and Dragon Soul if you want to see them.

These are spectacular! Though to be fair, I think they're better placed in the Fan Created Works section.

Still, thanks for linking these!

Eh, this is directly music-related, so it can probably stay here just fine.

Regardless, this stuff is great. I'm only halfway through Cha-La as I type, but I'm awestruck as well. Instant subscription from me.

That's pretty damn cool. I loved Cha-la. I've been trying to teach myself Mystical Adventure on the bass for a while, it's not going very well . It takes a lot of patience to learn things by ear, which I'm sure is what this guy did. Although, if you're really good, I'm sure it's easier.

I know it's incredibly off topic, but I had to re-read that, as I thought at first you said you were trying to touch yourself to Mystical Adventure.

Glad to see you guys like this guy! But instead of referring to him as this or that guy, I thought I should point out his name. His name is Yuh Matsuda. He has a MySpace as well:

I played guitar for a class in my sophomore year of high school. It was somewhat fun at the time, but after that, I lost interest in playing guitar. I think I'm more suited to singing. :) It would be fun to learn those songs on guitar though....

Here's to hoping he does a cover of Makafushigi Adventure as well!

His Dragon Soul was an improvement over the original in my opinion...

I am also a huge fan of electric guitars, which (though off-topic) is why Mega Man X3 is my favorite Mega Man game... The game is filled with them! 8)

"90% of you here don't even know what you're talking about (there are a few that do). But the things you say about these releases are nonsense and just plain dumb. Like you Metalwario64"--final_flash

I guess that's why I've always liked the Sonic games. Even the BGM on the original games were like rock songs. I mean, after all, it was composed by a guy in a rock band (Dreams Come True).

On topic, I'm still holding out for a Makafushigi Adventure cover by Matsuda....
