Yeah, that was the idea.
I figured if Cooler has a mouth shield/visor/thing then Frieza could have something to protect his eyes.
It's not clear on the design but the visor would be made of something that looks opaque from the outside but is transparent on the inside. Maybe he could retract it at will too? Who knows.

Or an even more interesting idea would be to propose that this new transformation gives him the ability to sense Ki.
Besides I couldn't bare to cover his mouth and loose the arrogant Freeza smirk.

Sorry, but I'm gonna be lazy with this one. Haven't had much inspiration or time this week... If I make something better, I'll post it later.

Well, here's my submission!

I tried to strike a balance between similarity to Cooler's version, and finding some unique tweaks for Freeza. Harder than I though, but I think it turned out well.

This particular What-If hasn't seemed to net as much response as the previous ones. Was it perhaps a little difficult, or is interest in general just starting to calm down by now?

Incredible job, Kaboom! Definitely my favorite one.

You've got a good eye for what works with the designs of both characters.

Very nice! Still I agree with 'Sunlight & City Night' about Freeza's smirk. In fact both his concept and 'TrunksTrevelyan0064's concept reminds me of when we saw Coola transform. In the film he speaks ominously before the facial shield covers his mouth. I always thought that looked more creepy then with the shield.

*shrug* It was probably too difficult to create a serious fourth transformation for Freeza that does not look too much like Coola's. This thread is a great idea though. Too bad I have next to no drawing talent or I would join in.

Oh in my case, interest hasn't gone down at all. I guess this particular what-if, a new form for Freeza, just isn't interesting enough to really try.
I mentioned before that for this one, I had trouble coming up with a statisfying design. On one hand I could see that as a challenge, but it's also kinda "Meh, I'll pass, could you gimme another what-if, please?".

Alright then. Since I'm about to head out and probably won't be back until late, late tonight, I'm going to post this week's What-If a little earlier than usual. Let's see if this one goes over better.

- A "Super Human" Transformation -

That's right, it's time for the underdogs of the series to get some attention. Either pick a pre-existing pure-human character or make one up, and draw them with a power-boosting transformation that the human race can call their own. No prerequisites in design or concept, but let's try not to make it TOO similar to Super Saiyan, a'ight?

Except that when I saw about "super humans"...I initially drew a huge blank.

Then I remembered some stupid scenario that I thought about the first time I watched Dragon Ball in high school....."Yamucha's Wolf Fang Fist is boring! Like, if there was like, a Wolf Fang Fist Times Two, It should be all cool like the Super Sayians, but also cooler...and totally wicked awesome, and -"

Nice work, RogueA007! Welcome! I've been trying to find a common theme among humans in DB; all Super Saiyans have blonde hair, so what do all humans have? Spirit animals, perhaps? Yamucha is a wolf, Roshi is a Turtle... anybody have any thoughts on what other characters may be?

I designed some sort of super human transformation for my OC.
Basically a cheap copy of the SSJ transformation with a color swap.
Only this form is achieved in a more spiritual way rather than hard training and emotional struggle.
