So what is the time gap between Z and GT?

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

Oh my, just look how short Pan is when you compare her to Bra
Like Herms said, that's how age is normally shown in DB. A lot of characters never look their age. Goku at 15 still looks prepubescent, Gohan at the Cell Games looks older than 11, Kuririn has always been naturally small, even as an adult, and the list goes on. Maybe we can just put it down to the fact that Bra reached puberty way early. I mean, she's only half-Saiyan. Pan looks about right for her age. Bra, however, really does look like she should be at least 15.

I'd say it's just a massive case of Toei not really caring about continuity. Bra's even taller than Krillin's daughter, and she's what, 17? They probbaly just thought it would be funny to give Vegeta a bratty teenage daughter and didn't care if it made sense.

I can buy Pan being 9 easily.

I'm more worried about Kuririn, whose pupils have vanished...

I think you cna attribute Goku's height at fifteen to Toriyama's art style at the time. But Krillin is a short person; I'm 99% certain that other characters have pointed that out.

Well, we already know that Saiyans age slower than humans, so I'd put it down to that, as well as Toriyama's art style. Same for Kuririn (excluding the Saiyan bit, of course  ). Though kudos to Toriyama for at least making Goku noticeably taller than he was at 12 years old.

I thought it was that Saiyans stayed in their prime longer, not that they just aged slower over all. That is, they grow the same as humans until they reach their prime, whatever age that may be, and after that they age slower. Goku's just a late bloomer.

Well...

Saiyan girls... probably age faster...? And she's half Saiyan, so... yeah, I'm pulling this out of my ass, way to go, Toei.

Yes, that's how the Daizenshuu puts it. It's just a fan guess that it explains Goku's slow growth. As it's been pointed out, characters age weird all over the show.

It's specifically stated by Vegeta towards the end of Z that they age slower so that their bodies can still be fit for battle to some capacity, or something along those lines.

As we said, he says that they 'stay in their prime longer'. That doesn't mean aging slower. If it's to stay at their peak for the longest time possible, they should age to reach their prime faster, then stay that way as long as possible. Though I guess the system doesn't have to be perfect.

Didn't Toriyama tell us in something recent that such was the case? Saiyans have about the same lifespans as humans, but they remain in their prime for much longer.

Yep.
Herms wrote:Saiyan aging
Next Toriyama is asked whether Saiyans are always young. As a fighting race they stay young for a long time in order to maintain their power, but Toriyama explains that their actual lifespan isn’t much different than Earthlings, and they quickly deteriorate after a certain age. Toriyama adds that Saiyan hair style still changes with age, and that Nappa went bald. Like with Earthlings, hair composition various from person to person.
As you can see, it doesn't say anything one way or the other about their rate of growth into adulthood. It could be interpreted either way with the info on hand.
