Saga #1 ... It don't sound right.
The 1TB discs will cost as much as DVDs cost to make (another thing that makes this technology exciting), so I doubt that they would charge anywhere near that amount.Jimu00 wrote:I personally don't believe that any company in their right mind would release an entire series on one disc, even as storage capacities get better and better. Who would want to spend $2000 for one disc of all of Dragon Ball? Knowing me, I'd probably scratch it and then it wouldn't work.

I don't think the cover's that bad. It's much better than a lot of the past DBZ ones with the screen captures as covers. Especially the ones that gave away crucial plot twists! And actually a lot of fans referred to the Saiyajin saga as the Vegeta saga in the past, so that's not so different.

B-kun: "What?"
Jerseymilk: "I see Fangirls."

Hey, craptastic is better than screencaptastic, if you ask me. And it's got the kana on there, which is a touch I always like.Sun_Wukong wrote:According to animeondvd.com, its now called "Vegeta Saga ". Ooh and check out the craptastic cover

Well, if you pay MSRP for anything, you need to stop shopping at the mall. It'll be $18 at BestBuy, I'm sure (slightly more for disc+box).

Well, you can have your own opinion about that cover. I think that cover is really good though. I guess thats going to be the "look" of those DVD releases.
What I mean is every cover will probley be the same exept the'll change the fighter for each cover (like the GT covers)
Update:
Also... you said its now called The Vegeta Saga? ... no its not. it says...
"Dragon Ball Z Saga 1: Sayain Showdown (also w/box)" If it says Vegeta Saga on the actuall cover...then Iam sorry but I don't see it.

"Vegeta" is written to the left of "Saga 1" on the cover. It's very hard to make out, though.Tanooki Kuribo wrote: Also... you said its now called The Vegeta Saga? ... no its not. it says...

The cover looks like it belongs on a video game box. But aside from that, it looks better than I expected.

Here's a larger version of that pic (which was posted earlier on Toonzone).

As you can see from the pic, "Vegeta Saga" is over the Dragonball Z logo.

"The Ultimate Uncut Special Edition" LOL, that's more overkill than a Japanese DBZ episode title.
At the bottom:
Original Uncut Japanese Footage
5.1 Surround Sound
I like this little bit of marketing trickery. At first glance it seems as if it says that the Japanese track is in 5.1, which even I would buy.
But no, they're just re-stating that the Japanese footage is uncut, while casually mentioning a 5.1 track somewhere on the disk...yeah, nice try FUNi...
BTW, the cover reminds me of the kind of art you'd find on the packaging for the collectable cards. It's not bad, that's just what I'm reminded of.
It says Vegeta Saga I, they obviously wouldn't number the side of the box...so, yeah...Also what I think we are seeing is the side panel to the art box and not the actuall DVD cover.

In turn, it's not as bad as screencraptastic.Hey, craptastic is better than screencaptastic, if you ask me. And it's got the kana on there, which is a touch I always like.
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

The cover looks ok... but it doesn't really scream "Buy Me!" ... more like... "Feel free to just pick me up... It doesn't matter if you put me back..."
Why should the cover decide if you buy it, you know what it contains, if you like that saga you'll buy it. I dont think any Dragonball fan has passed on DVD they wanted just because of the cover.
