Yikes, I feel like I just had an entire bag of candy watching that thing. That is, I feel overstimulated and have a stomach ache.

Jesus Christ that was terrible.
That totally represented DBZ and should be on the Dragonbox as an extra. I'm offended now.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

Sheesh that sure seemed like a backhanded, unnecessary remark.

Holy crap, now I know what it would be like to watch Dragon Ball using a Virtual Boy...
Not a problem.

All low blows aside, it would make a nice extra. I did watch the entire UUE run on TV and besides the music it was good.

Yeah, they should whip up a documentary about Dragon Ball's history in America. With staff interviews and stuff like that. They could include intros and stuff about the music, including "Rock the Dragon" and the likes. That'd be fascinating... for me at least.

I wouldn't mind if they were straight up about the changes and stuff.

You know I wonder.

On the DBox, since it's so obviously intended to be closer to the Japanese version, will the Opening theme for the dub track be Cha-La? Will the Vocal insert songs be put back?

Unfortunately, this specific type of thread and conversation brings out the worst in people. We have precedent to prove this.

As such, I am forced to take harsher moderation tactics that more stringently and literally follow the forum rules. This was pointed out to everyone in the very first post in the thread.

It's hardly my fault if you cannot or choose not to read and go on tirades that will result in moderation action.

Okay... I'm honestly getting fucking annoyed at how everything in this gets turned into "This is how this is supposed to be" and "They should of done this" and all that bullshit. I'm getting annoyed at the people and those trying to moderate it.

A simple solution would be to create a Sub-Forum called "War of Words" or something along that line, where someone can put up, for example: Dragonbox. There anyone can say what's on their mind, and argue to their hearts content... in that part of the forum only. They have freedom of mind and say what this should of done and whatnot, while keeping other sub forums like this strictly to the topic and not going overboard with the bullshit Mike is trying to avoid.

How's that?

I think Tom Dubois of "The Boondocks" said it best for me when FUNimation announced the release of the domestic Dragonbox, after buying all of the Season Sets: "MOTHERFUCK!!! SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT, PRICKS, SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIIIIIIIT!"

While I understand what you're getting at, and in theory maybe that sounds like a solution, all that does it literally give people permission to be asshats to each other. That's not what this website is about, that's not what this forum is about, and I won't have any of it here. If that's how you want to act, be my guest... somewhere else.

The main problem is that, really, people don't actually want to converse with each other, hear other sides, and form newly-educated opinions. They want to shout from their mountaintops with their hands over their ears. People are stubborn, people are rude, and as much as we do to work around that here on our site and forum, the underlying human condition mixed with lovely anonymity shines through with topics like this.

And it's really just a couple specific topics that do it, and... oddly enough... FUNimation-specific ones most of the time. Huh. Funny that.

The point just I only bolded is the one I do all the time on here. I read other people's comments and try to formulate a new opinion from that. That's what I basically do, plus my own research. More people need to be like that. Sadly, the one I bolded and italicized is what most people on forums are... it's their way or no way, it really pisses me off how people can be like that. The whole "I'm pissed they didn't add the dub music, I won't buy it anymore. Screw DBox" is probably the most stupidest thing to utter out of that person's mouth. The Dbox was made to be just like the Japanese release, with our added dub on it. That Dbox had only but the Japanese music, and so will this release, so either deal with it or shut up.

Sorry for the rant.

I'm seeing a bit of a contradiction here.

I'm just saying enough with what people want with this release, it is what it is, so there is no use for arguing. We can't change it. That's what I'm saying.

In relation to the Dragonbox, no contradiction is made. In relation to the attitude put, yeah there is. I said to "deal with it and shut up". In that line, I can see the contradiction. I said I'm mad at those who get angry if it isn't their way, and I ended it with my little angry thing. To that you are right.

I suggest that people unhappy with the Dragon Box do what I learned to do when I was unhappy with Dragon Ball Evolution: just ignore it and focus on the stuff you do like. In the end you vote with your wallets, anyway. If you can't keep your complaints to yourselves, complain directly to FUNimation like many of us did when the Orange Bricks made us unhappy. Arguing it out here does nothing but close threads.

If you don't mind me saying, I have found that most of the issues come from any sort of "comparison" situation. I've noticed people get really defensive when they think their personal preference is being attacked. The best way to handle this is to make sure people are not taking everything so personally. Also, as funny as it is sarcasm doesn't really help, it only feeds the fire.

I would love to see this thread stay around so everybody, when typing remember "DBAD" (don't be a dick). When you keep that phrase in mind things seem to work out nicely, believe me I've seen it work.

Now then back on topic, what exactly are the special features in the Dragonbox? Will we be getting cool things like a Scouter walkie talkie? I really REALLY want one of those!
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

Well I hope they put in specials for each set. What I mean is like the commercials from Japan or something along that line, like the Eyedrops and Pencils they advertised. And of course, pray to God.... PTETS (Plan To Eradicate The Saiyans) in one of them.
