An idea I had
I had the idea to redraw the manga from the beginning of Z. My question is, would anyone be interested in also doing this, and compare results? What I had in mind was:
A manga basically telling the exact same story, just drawn in another artists style, and/or expresses new ideas to the story, but at the same time, new ideas are not so different from the original canon that they could dramatically alter the story.
Thoughts? I'll post some images as soon as I get some feedback.

Dragonball is an incredibly loose adaptation of Journey to the West. You're basically saying you want to copy Dragonball to a T just in your art style with a few changes here and there. I'm just clarifying what the difference is, good luck with your project.teotihuacan wrote:Well, if that is the case, then Akira Toriyama should have never made Dragonball, but I can see your point.SSJ Helldog wrote:If you're going to put that much effort into something, why not make original material? Well, whatever makes you happy.

Not really. I just wanted to see how people would re-imagine something they enjoyed.NeptuneKai wrote:Dragonball is an incredibly loose adaptation of Journey to the West. I wouldn't think ANYONE has the patience to redraw all of the Z-portion.
Maybe a few pages from a chapter in Dragon Ball, though.

In this case you might as well make a "movie comic" essentially making the manga into how you'd like the movie to play out
