Shonen Jump offering DragonBall manga for free download!?

Chapter 22 and 23 have been posted.

Ssj_Rambo, I don't mean to nag, but if you're here, could you please get images of these new chapters? There's a very real chance of chapter 20 being taken down in two days, when the next one becomes "publically available".

I've been saving these all along as well, so if SSJ_Rambo doesn't get around to posting the pages, I'll do it. It's too bad they caught on and removed all the old pages.

I`ve already saved all the pages of chapter 20, so if Ssj_Rambo doesn`t post the chapter I will.

I still have to edit the images and such, and it might take a while before I have the time to do that, but they are here, they are saved and I will post the chapter if Ssj_Rambo doesn`t.

Are these censored, sans Viz dialogue? Like, graphically?

They're 100% uncut like the Japanese release. Even the dialogue is as uncensored as Viz has ever released it.

I'M BACK!!!!!!!

I'm very sorry I got a little behind on these, but this past week has been especially busy (PSAT, SAT, biggest football game of the year... which we lost, leaving me crushed and "without a sole", college visits/tours, homecoming woes, etc.) and I've had quite a few other projects going on...

. I've added my uploads for chapters 020 and 021, and am working on the other ones that are currently up.

*Sadly, in accordance with international laws, I have had to take down chapters 002-019 in both languages, seeing as how Shounen Jump has done so. :/ We all knew the day would come, and I hope everyone got 'em while they could.

Ah, excellent, thank you so much.

So, here's a bonus for you all - since I was nervous about not getting chapter 20 before it was taken down, I made my own copy of that chapter - and since I was doing it anyway, why not make it a real hi-quality copy?

So. Dragonball chapter 20, in Japanese, high resolution. Each page is roughly 3mb, so they're about twice the size of SSj_Rambo's. Allows you to zoom in quite far without pixelation issues, and makes furigana reading so much easier. And hey, blown-up artwork, woo.

Yeah, that resolution is great with Fastone Image Viewer, because I can just use the standard zoom and it enlarges one page to exactly the width of my ~24" moniter. Thank you!!

And a really great thing about these chapters is how they use scans/saved scans (scans, right?) of the original art's individual pages, so we're getting a lot of two-page spread art as a single image for the first time for a lot of these images. Scanning them from the manga has some negatives to it...:

Ah, you have got to be kidding me.

I finally decided to check out this thread yesterday (even though it's been up for quite some time now). I saw that master link up in the 1st post, and since I liked the way the manga was being presented, I thought, "Well, I'll download it all tommorow," seeing as how yesterday I didn't have time.

And now they've been taken down. *sad face*

Now I only have chapters 1, 4, 5, 15, 16, 17, 19, 20, 21, & 23. Can, like, anyone please PM me those missing chapters, please? I would really appreciate it!

On topic though, I'm loving this new format. I do hope they continue 'till the end (Man, how awesome would that be? =D)

Shit, I'm just gonna grab these, and import the Kanzenban to still offer my support for the series. Might even do it with Bleach!

Thanks for your efforts, it's so great being able to keep up on that great new collection. With the original Japanese digitally colored and the French Kanzenban being released, I guess I can have all I ever dreamed of about the manga!!

Would somebody have the digital Japanese title pages of chapter 12, 13 and 18? Cause I don't have them, and I use the title page of each chapter to illustrate the folder I'm keeping each chapter in.

If somebody has the title page of these, it would be cool to just put them as pictures here so that I can save them, even if the resolution is not high, it doesn't matter.

I wonder, isn't this against the forum rules? You're not really supposed to download the chapters, this must be why you're supposed to install Jumpland's browser.

Yeah, sadly those chapters simply didn't come with title pages. Strangley, Shounen Jump seems to be randomly skipping some of the title pages, probably due to laziness or forgetfulness. Yeah, I think it sucks, because I use the title pages too. What you can do is use the nice hi-res scans of the Kanzenban title pages by Hujio over at Kanzentai, and if you really want to, just re-color his scans with the color scheme used in the manga chapters.

The Jump Browser is set in place basically for marketing and self-plugging purposes, and they don't want downloaded .zip files full of the chapters in .jpg format being passed all around the infinitely (which is not what I'm trying to do). This technically doesn't break go against any of the forum rules, since I am keeping my downloads up in accordance to Shounen Jump. I'm simply giving people the opportunity to get what Jump themselves is offering, since installing their Jump Browser and doing it "their" way poses problems for a lot of people. I try by best to stay well inside the rules of this forum and the rules of the law at all times.
