Found an old magazine article I scanned awhile back. I don't remember what magazine this was from. But this was when DBZ was first airing in the US so it's from
many years ago. I think it's interesting this article even appeared considering DBZ wasn't even that far along in the US at the time. I only knew what characters they were talking about from reading about them and seeing pictures on the internet. Anyways, enjoy!

For this to be in a magazine in early Dragon Ball US marketing might have been confusing for some people.

I mean, you're pretty open about looking at cartoon porn. Why would you do that? It's fiction. The proportions of these women are not possible to reach in reality.

Damn, Chichi is hot.
I don't think I'd ever like a live action Dragon Ball that much, but those are some respectable choices. I think Rachel Leigh Cook would make a good Videl, at least in appearance.

Keanu Reeves would be perfect for the part considering there was complete lack of personality to Goten's GT character to begin with.

I am half sold on that guy as Goku, but I'd need to see how good of an actor he is. Also, actors w/experience in martial arts is always a plus.
I'd be very interested to see how #20!Sean Connery would turn out. X3
On hiatus.

Why isn't Piccolo on there? Anyways... That Robin Shou looks like a good choice for Goku. And I wouldn't mind having Nicole Kidman as Bulma (with purple hair of course). Chichi needs to look more Asian, I think.

This article is from an old Pojo magazine. Came out around the time the Cell arc was airing on Cartoon Network. It also had a list of episode titles for all three series, plus character bios for pretty much every character, using dub names for characters for those who already made an appearance and common fan names (like "Doubler) for those that hadn't.

Dolph Lundgren's acting is very Brolli-like.
But reportedly, he's actually a genius. I guess smarts aren't the same as talent, in his case.

Right off the bat stirke one and 2 for Goku and Vegeta.
They win those strikes back with Nappa and Yajirobe.
EDIT: Hugh Jackman would make the perfect Final Form Cell. Also Keanu should be Yamcha, not Goten.

Danny Devito as Yajirobe would be a nice to see in a movie lol. I remember reading this years ago and I was thinking "Who is Bra? Is she a made up character for the movie".

Yeah. To be specific, this comes from
Pojo's Unofficial Total Dragonball Z book, pages 10-11, published in 2000.
On my blog you can read a
review of the book along with reviews of all the other Dragon Ball books available in English.
Overall it's a nice collection of DB material and the inside pages were very well designed. You can buy it for a few dollars now on Amazon.

I actually agree with their casting for Vegeta and Kamesennin. While #17 is a crap listing back then, he'd actually be able to pull it off
now.
And I vote Chad Michael Murray for Trunks. Watch One Tree Hill. He can pull off somber-emo hunk like nobody's business.
If Rachel Leigh Cook still looked like she did when she made the "This is your brain on drugs" commercial, I'd agree with her being Videl.

I always laughed at this list. Wasn't it also published in those silly Beckett magazines back in the day?
Jet Li, physically would be a perfect Vegeta but his accent would kill the movie.
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

Yeah, I have an issue from 2003 that has a similar list (by a different author.) It was little different and had a few characters that weren't mentioned on the other list. They were:
Gohan: Keanu Reeves
Piccolo: Wesley Snipes
Frieza: Vin Diesel
Cell: The Rock
Krillin: Verne Troyer (Mini-Me)
