Nice episode, some of the redrawn scenes were unnecessary(as usual) and I was disappointed that they removed the part where they say "its been a while" and laugh out loud....oh well.

Can't wait for Recoome's fight, one of my favourites, even though I miss his old voice.

I love Katsuyuki Konishi's Ginyu. His version of "Yooo, Vege-chan!" was great. Kamina Ginyu The other voices... eh. They do mesh well, imo.

I guess they couldn't find away around the decapitation... or beheadings are just more PC than holes in chests and middle fingers.

Kai cuts an actual canon part of the Ghurd fight, but leaves in several filler scenes. Why?

Ghurd having to hold his breath to freeze time is an anime invention.

Some of the new Ginyu Tokusentai voices were a little strange to me, especially Jeice.

Even though I knew it existed, I still found the "Vegeta-chan" comments hilarious, especially hearing Goku use it in the next-episode title-card.

I never knew that about the -chan alternates. I tried looking up to see what -chun meant, but I came up with nothing. Thanks for that tidbit of info.

Also, I'll bet we'll hear more nicknames, especially from Reacoom in the next episode. Speaking of next episode, I can't believe #30 is next week. Kai has almost aired for half a year now. How time flies....

I assume since it was airing on Japanese TV, it was either a news break, an ad, or an announcement of some kind.

Back in the day, when I was following Hellsing on Japanese TV, there were news breaks on the screen like every 5-10 minutes or so. VERY distracting...
