First episode I saw was after Vegeta blew himself up. Good stuff there.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

For me it was the Saban Pilaf arc.

The first episode of Z I saw was the one where Goku was fighting Freeza as a super saiya-jin. I think it was the episode after Freeza reached his maximum.

Back in 1995, I watched the first episode of Dragon Ball and thought "This is weird". Then, in 1997, I saw part of a random episode of Dragon Ball Z (Tenshinhan, Yamcha, Kulilin, and Chiaotzu versus the illusionary Saiyans) and thought "This is stupid". But with my little brother watching it all the time, I eventually got into it too.

I never really thought it was weird (except for Dragon Ball... 'Cause it had a boy with a tail and underwear that didn't match the animation). Also, I didn't really start too late in the series, so I wasn't confused. I understood that they were training for a huge fight that was to come. And once Cartoon Network reached episode 54, Goku... Super Saiyan?, they started over from episode one and I was able to watch Dragon Ball Z from the beginning and understand it a little better.

The very first episode airing on Cartoon Network in the Netherlands (Ocean dub). The first thing I saw of the series was Raditz arriving at Kame House. I thought the animation wasn't that nice... because sometimes only the mouth moved (while with western animation, this all was more fluently).. so I thought that looked pretty odd at the beginning. Anyway, I guess it really caught my interest because I didn't miss an episode starting then.

I was love at first sight I guess. XD

I started at the very first episode of DBZ. Then I went backwards and watched the entire Dragonball series, then I went forward again to Freeza saga, Buu saga, then GT.

I started watching Toonami around the time Goku arrived on Namek. I remember being confused when they went back and had a reairing of the Saiyan Saga. I thought Raditz was Vegeta. And of course the voices.
