Cell's Genki-Dama Claim

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

Simply because he doesn't know how.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

Precisely.

He doesn't have the cells from Goku that would enable him to know, whereas Cell does.

Unless there are like, requirements and junk beyond knowledge. *sigh*. *head explodes* *Tries to regenerate* *Or at least prevent exposed neural matter from being collected for use in a bio-android*
(... No, I really didn't plan that. XD )

So yeah. I'm going to play BS-advocate and do this:
Some studies suggest that there are parts of DNA that can store things like ... memory-like things. The combination of intense motor-skills and ki-ness we get with Techniques and such in DB could potentially find their way there (Never mind the difficulty and timeframe we'd be looking at).
Except that's a pretty messy and unused portion of DNA. So Gero's computer's job is to access it.

... I think the "harvest brain-cells" idea sounds more plausible. Though I won't pretend I don't find it creepy.

Who said Goten can't do a Sparky Dama?

I don't think there are any requirements. He HAS Goku's cells, therefore, he can create it.
Goten can't do it because while he partially has Goku's DNA in him as well, he doesn't have the ones which carry the knowledge on how to create a Genki Dama which would be stored in Goku's brain?
sigh, I don't know anymore, haha.

In the real world, you inherit a full half of your DNA from each parent (though the parts you inherit are random). The only reason you're not a complete clone of one parent is because of the half of you that isn't from them. The parts that you get from each, though, are exactly the same as they have.

Long story short, Dragon Ball genetics makes no sense. And when something in Dragon Ball makes no sense, I just explain it away with ki or something.

So what's the DBZ equivalent of Skitty-on-Wailord action.

That I don't get why is everybody discussing DB genetics, but nobody is discussing anywhere the Pokémon genetics......

In result, there will be actually no result
