I've heard this so many times I thought you might want to add it to your site. People keep on asking on various forums if Paikuhan is a Namekian. I think it has something to do with the CCG cards he can use. Ya might want to look into that.

As a player of the CCG, Paikuhan can claim a Namekian Style Mastery but cannot use cards that are specifically labelled as Namekian Heritage Only.

I used to think he was Namekian, or at least Toei's attempt at alluding to Namekians. After all, there was a whole story arc involving them, then they just shifted away from being a major factor of the plot.

I actually heard a decent variation on that once: the guy was saying that, just as Ginyu and Jeece were mutants of their own races, Paikuhan was a mutant Namek. He said this with such authority that I still didn't believe him.

Just thought I'd mention it in case ppl decide to ignore your response by tossing that rumor in.

I for one never heard it... I always thought he was just a different alien race. He doesn't look Namekian! I think it started because of the CCG, although the fact that he can't use "Namekian Heritage Only" cards should clue you in...[/i]

I think it started because people are stupid and saw that since he was green, bald, and wore weighted clothes, that he must be a Namek.

Forget that he has no antennae, is a different shade of green, and has lips, he still must be a Namekian!

And yes this rumor existed well before the CCG. What's in this thread is the first I'm hearing of the CCG aspect of it.

Of course this rumor existed before the card game...he does look sort of like a Nakekian, and when I first saw him (in a small video captured image), I thought it was Piccolo. He's Toei's reference to Namekians.

Actually, he pretty much is a temporary "substitute Piccolo", since Goku is in the afterlife at that point. He wears weighted clothes, has a tough and stand-offish attitude, and is a rival to Goku.

I've not made use of it yet, but in TDOY (and probably some other fics later) it'll be 'revealed' that Pikkon is a Namek. Just, from a long time ago. You know, an evolution or something like that. And I have one planned that he's from another Namekian Clan, seperate from what we see in Z.

That could be true because it was stated that the storm on Namek wiped out most of its race. So there could have been different Clans that were killed by the storm. Remember, the nameks we know have the ability to make the Dragonballs. I think...
