I guess Toei got so used to having the Saiyans without their tail that even when they introduced the supposed "Legendary Super Saiyan," they forgot to add one of the most defining, if not the most, feature of a Saiyan.
I was voted "most unique" and "most likely to become the next existential thinker" in high school.
But like I said, Paragus still has his tail in the present, and baby-Broli had a tail. It seems unlikely that they "just forgot" to give adult Broli a tail. Rather, I think it's more likely that the mentality was "Super Saiyans don't have tails."*PINHEAD* wrote:I guess Toei got so used to having the Saiyans without their tail that even when they introduced the supposed "Legendary Super Saiyan," they forgot to add one of the most defining, if not the most, feature of a Saiyan.
Though by the time of GT, they apparently changed their minds...

Both those statements make the most sense in my opinion.Rocketman wrote:I say it's because Paragus removed it, to prevent Broly from becoming an Oozaru.

May I see some proof?Domon wrote:He still has it, it's just wrapped around his waist during the entire movie.Heritic wrote:Which brings up the question: what ever happened Paragus' tail?
I'm sounding really stupid right now, cause I have yet to see the movie, but I've searched for pics and have seen neither one with a tail. So as to what happened to it, I really don't know the answer to that =/
But the most logical answer would be that it was removed.
(Note to self: Watch movie as soon as possible)

Ah, but Toriyama's note pointing to the tail says that he doesn't necessarily need to have it:Chuquita wrote:In that "Son Goku Densetsu" book they came out with last year there's layout pictures for all of the movie characters. Brolli's shown with his tail hanging out, so I guess he just usually has it around his waist under that red cloth.

Yes, I remeber that from the Movies/TV Specials Daizenshuu... Is it also included in "Son Goku Densetsu"? That's the only one of the 'new' books I don't have.SaiyaJedi wrote:Ah, but Toriyama's note pointing to the tail says that he doesn't necessarily need to have it:Chuquita wrote:In that "Son Goku Densetsu" book they came out with last year there's layout pictures for all of the movie characters. Speaking of Broli's designs, the tail looks awkwardly long, and it's interesting to wonder if his outfit is a "traditional" Saiyan dress. But anywho...
Yeah, I would say he either had it removed or he hides it.

Now that I saw that picture, I do recall Broli having a tail. So as mentioned before, I would say he had it wrapped around his waist under the red cloth.
Yes it would be awkwardly long because Broli is a big person therefore giving him big features. But, damn that tail is huge. Imagine Kuririn being whacked by that. That hammer is enough to split his wig.the tail looks awkwardly long

Yes he and his father have tails, but the planet they are on has no moon and I don't think earth does when they visit it either.
