...PS2 looks smoother than the Xbox? I'm guessing you don't have an HDTV...Xyex wrote:I don't like the X-box. It looks bad, the controller for it is crap, the games are shoddy, and the graphics and animation in most of the games remind me of high end games on low end computers. Choppy and blah. The GC and PS2 are much smoother. But that's not the point, so...
It's the only console to output a true 16:9 image (I have a Pioneer Pro-910HD, and the 'cube and the PS2 don't display in true 16:9), which makes it a lot better looking on my 43" plasma than the other two consoles. I mean, if you wanna be honest, the PS2 is the worst console hardware wise (seeing as it doesn't even have anti-aliasing, and I believe people have said it has a low amount of video memory). Then you have Nintendo being cheapskates and not supporting their progressive scan capabilities (they make the only cables, which are only available from their website, and they even removed the progressive port on the latest revision of the hardware).
I said this on GameFAQs, and I'll say it here:
The measure of a console is the games. To say one shouldn't exist is stupid, because competition among the three only serves to make it better for us as consumers. I have games for all three, and all three have their pros and cons.
BTW, why are you blaming shoddy programming on the hardware manufactuer? O_o;;

No, I just have a very good eye for picking problems like that. For example, I think the effects in LotR sucked major ass, and can point out numerous problems with various scenes that others never noticed. In the realm of video games, that tranlates to me being able to tell when game models and backgrounds aren't meshed right, when animations are choppy and jerky (even if others claim they're solid and smooth), etc.
And I'm blaming the manufacturer because if they'd made better hardware the game makes wouldn't be making crappy games.
And no, I don't personally have an HDTV, however, I have played Xbox on one before, and god did the all the little things stand out like glaring mistakes. I'd rather run an Xbox on a 12inch B&W tv than an HDTV, it'd hide the mistakes better.

<Kaboom> Neither does Rita
<Xyex> Good point.

Well, I guess if you look hard enough, you can find fault in anything...Xyex wrote:No, I just have a very good eye for picking problems like that. Riiiiight. Because if someone can't beat a Honda Civic with a Dodge Viper GTS, it *couldn't* be the driver's fault, it must be the carAnd I'm blaming the manufacturer because if they'd made better hardware the game makes wouldn't be making crappy games.
Okay, you enjoy your 480i, 12" CRT B&W television (which, may I just say you put yourself in the lead for the 'Captain Obvious Award: 2005' with that remark? Of course higher resolution will make more imperfections show, unless it's made native for that resolution). I'll go back to playing my flawed Xbox (and my PS2 and gamecube equally) on my meager 43" Plasma HDTVAnd no, I don't personally have an HDTV, however, I have played Xbox on one before, and god did the all the little things stand out like glaring mistakes. And this is nothing personal, BTW. I just think that post was...well, dumb, in all honesty.

I have to agree. I too notice those stupid imperfections in games (on all consoles) but if a game is good then I can (for the most part) over look the little things. Take Full Spectrum Warrior for example, at first I didn't think much of the game because there are some points where there is poor texture meshing and the joins in buildings and things is a bit "pixlly".
Maybe this was a stupid way of expressing my point but I think it is clear enough.

I don't HAVE to look hard though, that's the problem. Like, for example, Halo 2. So far everything I've seen of that game has looked choppy to me. I just have a good eye for little imperfections because I'm a perfectionist. And while yes, I see these on the PS2 and GC I see more of it on the PC and Xbox.MajinVejitaXV wrote:Well, I guess if you look hard enough, you can find fault in anything...Xyex wrote:No, I just have a very good eye for picking problems like that. No, no. I'm not saying that. I'm saying that if the hardware was better than the BEST games out wouldn't be so crappy. The crappiest games would still suck. But the 'great' games would actually be good. XPRiiiiight. Made for it or not the imperfections are glaringly bad on an HDTV. Doesn't mean I dont' want one though, since I wont have to worry about how my Xbox looks on it since I'll never own one.

V-Jump is monthly, yeah. And I don't think you enter these passwords in the same place in "Dragon Arena"... I believe it's an entirely separate area for special promotional passwords.

Where do you see that? I only see the cover of the DBZ3 section, and the artwork on that is the same as on the cover of the game itself.Ash wrote:http://vjump.shueisha.co.jp/index_vjb.html

I believe you enter them in "Dragon Arena"; they fit, in there. Even in the US version. Except they're invalid passwords for the US version ^^;;.
Goku w/ Halo:
[JaanaM] [inna-!] [Shinda] [raMata] [Aouna-] [!]
Piccolo-Daimao:
[Gahaha] [Saikou] [da!!!-] [Saikou] [nokibu] [nda!!!]
Long-Haired Trunks:
[DoumoS] [umisas] [enOmat] [aseshi] [mashit] [a]
Pretty sure those are correct.
