Dunno if I'm taking this the wrong way, but there's nothing wrong about the way he wrote that. Son Goku is his name, and "chibi" is a title addressed to lots of characters in not only Dragonball, but anime in general .Big Momma wrote:Yes. I'm pretty sure he was confirming the character of which the previous poster spoke of and used the official name from the game, which is "Young Goku"(?). He wasn't correcting him.Rory wrote:Dunno if I'm taking this the wrong way, but there's nothing wrong about the way he wrote that. PS3 version sells 48,000 units on release date in Japan. That's 38% of it's initial shipment of 124,800 on PS3. Its first day sales are 12,000 units lower then what Burst Limit did last year. The 360 version moved like 4600 units on it's first day for a 28% sell through of it's initial 16,400 shipment. First day numbers are down 3000 from Burst Limit.

"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.

Since I'm stationed over here in Japan, I had to order to order the game off Gamestop's website. Luckily I pre-ordered on the last day, and I was able to get the codes for the customized characters and to be able to play as SSJ3 Broly as well. I got the email with the codes on the 10th, and now I'm just waiting for the game to get here. Can't wait to play it. How many of you guys are playing on Xbox live?

There's a menu you can access from the main menu and a menu you can access from the versus menu that will let you swap out attacks.JulieYBM wrote:Oh wow, really? That sounds awesome, at least for me coming from METEOR. How does one change the move pools? Because I was thinking...if there is but one Gokû who can do the regular Genki Dama how does he do the Super Genki Dama, too? Or Instantaneous KameHame-Ha?The characters are now all customizable with different attacks and ultimates. A wonderful move on Spike’s part. We now no longer need 4 Gokus or Vegetas instead we just change the move pool and costumes accordingly. You can boost your characters attack, defense and KI through these different tiles. I don’t really play around with this kind of stuff but at a glance it looks very customizable.
I'll use Goku as an example:
You get 4 slots. In the other Sparking! games, two would be blast 1 attacks, and the other two would be blast 2 attacks. These are totally interchangable, and are mapped to the right thumbstick (left, right, up, and down).
At the moment, I've got Kaioken on down, Kaioken Attack on left, and Kaioken Finish on right, along with Kaioken x20 Kamehameha on up.
The Ultimate attack CAN NOT BE CHANGED, so it will always be the same. The sole exception to this is the Genki Dama, which can be modified if you give Goku the "Give Me your Energy!" ability.
Now, each transformation has a different moveset, so in Super Saiyan I currently have Meteor Smash on right, Instant Transmission Kamehameha on down, Full Power Energy Blast Volley on left, and Kamehameha on up.
Customization of stats also has to be edited for each transformation which, while it may seem annoying, is actually a blessing. You can have a balanced fighter in one form and immediately transform into a character with an extreme stat boost in one area who can change playing style on the fly.
Also: Mike, that sucks. Hasn't happened to me yet. Are you sure there isn't a disc defect or something?

No. It's just that the game is a glitchy mess.Supa Saiya-Jin Tullece wrote:Also: Mike, that sucks. Hasn't happened to me yet. Are you sure there isn't a disc defect or something?
I was able to restart the system and play for another hour or so immediately after, so it doesn't appear like it was an overheating issue (plus the PS3 is the best-ventilated out of all my consoles over in the TV stand).

My fault, I knew I should have played around in each mode more. I just had a lot to say on this game and I felt like jotting it down. I sent Mike the same pictures in higher resolution.
But the "Flatschen" just looks so retarded on the Plastic Sleeve! Too bad that it isn't a sticker like on some Steelbook DVDs!
One of the few...
Yeah, I was just confirming, haha. Yea, there are glitches, but in my case, no overheating, freezing, and definitely nothing game-breaking. That sucks that it just froze up like that!VegettoEX wrote: No. It's just that the game is a glitchy mess.

Far too often, this is what you will see mid-battle:

(Yes, that is just one of Piccolo's feet, and my character is nowhere to be seen.)
Here's another good one. Where am I? Where is the opponent? Who fuckin' knows?!?

It's getting pretty unbearable to me. I *never* had these types of issues in the Sparking! games, and if there WERE issues like these, they clearly weren't as often and absurdly prevalent as they are in trying to deal with THIS game.

Until now I haven't found that camera problem annoying. It's actually a safety signal to tell me when the opponent's too close. Unless I hit and smash, I don't want to be close to my opponent, so if the camera doesn't show him, it means:
- I'm super close and yet I'm not hitting him: I'm obviously not being smart here, let's get away.
- I'm safe, he doesn't see me and he will pointlessly try to go up or down to "fix the camera problem" and find me, during which I'll just get away and blast him in a second. You don't fix the problem, you just learn to play around it, while your opponent is lost in it: it just becomes an advantage then.
And if the view is blocked by the rocks: you don't see, defend yourself and L1+L2 to instantly rise into safety: once again a move you would never think about without the "problem" and yet thanks to it, you're a more intelligent player who leaves the opponent with a "where'd he go, players are suppose to frenetically attack, not defend themself and go to safety high up in the sky"! Yet it is the very advice Gohan gives to Videl in the manga...
But who knows, maybe I'll change my mind if I ever find out it's a problem, I've only player a bunch of hours so far. However, it seems unlikely the camera will be a problem to me, given that I don't like to be close to my opponent in the SPARKING series anyway!

Yeah, I saw it. I don't understand why the rest of Europe got the LE and the UK got screwed over. I was only going to get the game for the LE stuff, but at least now I save £35.SSJSteve wrote:Yeah the UK didn't get the limited edition version. Yeah same here, I never received a cancellation e-mail from Amazon but after they listed it as "Currently Unavailable" I cancelled my order and now I've saved £45.Steely wrote:I was only going to get the game for the LE stuff, but at least now I save £35.SSJSteve wrote:Yeah the UK didn't get the limited edition version. I guess this video came with the special edition. There's nothing really interesting in it.
The special edition looks pretty cool. I don't understand why we didn't get it in the United States. I would have really liked to pick that up.
