Dead Zone Re-Dub Discussion.
Well, if they're putting their own background music into the movies, then they're definitely not keeping the insert songs. At least, they didn't at any point in the series when there was an insert song, so I doubt they'll do it here.
Unless of course, they decide to use the original music. If they were able to the first time around, doesn't that mean they still own the rights to it?

Sorry for the bump, but I figured what I have to say would fit better here than simply making a new thread. When they get to "Tree of Might", in what way will they address the Haiya Dragon? Since the other movies and the show took after the TV version and called him Icarus, do you think they'll follow suit, or do like the old video/dvd dub and call him Higher Dragon?

I don't know, but the "character's" name is actually "Haiyaa Dragon," which is closer to "Chauffeur Dragon" than anything else. ("Haiyaa" comes from "hire," which refers to a paid driver.)Super Sonic wrote:Sorry for the bump, but I figured what I have to say would fit better here than simply making a new thread. But then again, "Icarus" is just making shit up, so I suppose I wouldn't mind "Higher Dragon" either.

Makes sense: all Gohan did was have the dragon fly him around. Once Gohan's training resulted in him being faster than the dragon, Haiyaa Dragon disappeared from the series.SaiyaJedi wrote:I don't know, but the "character's" name is actually "Haiyaa Dragon," which is closer to "Chauffeur Dragon" than anything else.
