I would love to create a character.

We kind of already can when we give characters move sets and stuff, so why not how our own?

Dear Namco Bandai Namco,

Just do Burst Limit 2 but, like, make it good.

Also, have an original story. It doesn't have to make sense, just have it fun and entertaining. Coola and Freeza team up to attack Earth and Future Trunks returns to help and also Tapion for some reason. Also the Great Saiyaman should be there somehow. General Blue can be the mastermind behind everything because he's cool. But really, any original plot would be nice, especially when your story modes get more sparse and dully conceived and enacted with each game.

Please remove anything involving twirling a control stick really fast. I played Mario Party on the N64 and I can still see the gaping hole in my palm from that.

Stop giving characters differing amounts of default health. You mess around with it all the time in the other modes anyway, so why not keep everyone on a somewhat even playing field by default?

Also, please have Broly slip on a bar soap getting out of the shower in the opening animation, breaking his neck. This will fulfil my life goal, seeing Broly wet and naked. I mean, dead.

Also, did you know that the Japanese and English VA's are not in fact reading the exact same lines? Get two different subtitles up, pronto.

Include a create a character mode if you want but I sure as hell won't be playing online to see all these ill conceived Mary Sue spike headed OC's running around.

In closing, please don't put in Garlic Jr. He sucks.

Your sincerely,
Me

I bet we won't get Raging Blast 2 next year.

As for Goku's Corner, uh, did you totally just ignore the fact that a new game was announced... last week?

And yours would just be you with Chi-Chi hanging all over you... but we'd let you do it anyway.

Yeesh.

I think Create-a-Character would be the way to go. Sure, it would be gimmicky, but it would also be a lot of fun.

And it should be made that you have to unlock features for your character, like powerful attacks, rather than being able to assign Super Duper Genki Kamehame-Ha Fist from the word go.

But they've clearly had thoughts about putting it in, you just have to wonder why they haven't yet. I had thought they'd planned to put them in the 4th Tenkaichi game, which turned out to be Raging Blast.

In the end, even if people enjoy the games, they are going to have to find a new direction sooner or later, because slightly improved graphics isn't going to be enough to keep people spending money on a game that offers a storyline they've seen a million times (no matter how great) and such.

Hopefully this survey is them taking this on board, and in the next few years we will be fighting each other with all our ridiculous characters. :D

If they do decide on an original storyline, they better not pull a Shin Budoukai 2 and make up some horribly complicated story that tries to fit every last little playable character into it at once. That was pretty dumb.

Actually having a create a character option might not be that bad. If you take elements from DBO and implement them into a fighting game with a new story, Namco-Bandai could end up making there own new fighting genre. Look at what Fallout, Bioshock and Borderlands did. They took the basic FPS formula and added an RPG element to it.

If you add the same RPG element into a new story mode for the Next DragonBall game, you could end up with something that hasn't been done before.

You can then take you custom character online and compete with other players around the world. Of course, you don't have to use the custom characters as your favorite DB characters will be already unlocked and playable in your stardard offline or online vs mode.

Also, to help level your character up after story mode or to help level up your other favorite characters, there could be a battle trial mode or something(Similar to Budokai 3).

I like having a fighting game (as Dragonball revolves around martial arts), but Bandai could do so much more with the next game.
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

Thank you, I really don't feel like playing against an angst ridden goth version of SSJ4 Vegeta named "SEPEROTHXX23674245677325678".

It would be so great if you could do all the characters for the story line. Of course every character has their own role for example one of your characters act like Yamcha. But that would take the voice-acting away unless the player can do it to 8)

Oh, right! Online play! I was thinking more in that, "Hey, kids. Go through Arcade Mode as your own character and leel them up like in Sould Caliber 3!... or was it 4?! I don't remember!!!"

From that angle, you vwon't have to deal with other peoples' characters.

Even if Namco Bandai do make a sequel to Raging Blast, I won't be too excited about it. I'll stick with Sparking! METEOR, thank you very much.

And I hear that a few are growing tired of the DB fighting games. I think, if the game developers want to pull in more sales, it would be best to have a Dragon Ball game in another genre. Maybe a platformer like "Revenge Of King Piccolo" or an RPG like "Legacy Of Goku II", only in 3D. And they should just stick to seperate games for DB, DBZ and DBGT rather than having a DBZ fighting game with DB characters shoved in. That way, they can focus their attentions more on each series.

I think a role-playing game would be perfect, especially for Dragon Ball. It would fit the early stages of Dragon Ball when Son Goku and friends are searching for the Dragon Balls. Of course, they could do this with DBZ and DBGT as well.

Well I'd like to see one done similar to Rise of a Ninja or Broken Bond. I mean, they weren't the greatest games, but they offered more gameplay than a bunch of fights bunched together to make a game. I'm not saying I want it exactly the same, but just the whole freeroaming map thing and stuff like that.

Ultimate Ninja Storm is a lot better, IMO.

I still want to be able to fight in severe weather (blizzards, heavy thunderstorms, tornados, earthquakes, etc), and have that weather have an actual effect on the fight.

If Raging Blast 2 gives me that, I'm sold. The original Raging Blast is the first recent home system db game that I owned a system for, yet decided not to buy the game. I am kind of tired of the same 'ol thing. ^^;
Its why I find the Kai DS game so refreshing.
Also, I kind of liked the Budoukai series better than Raging Blast's predecessors; I did buy Burst Limit.
On hiatus.

What game, has a Us release been announced? Otherwise Goku's Corner will ignore it. Last week? If Goku's Corner was going to support it then it would have said so by now.
