Really, I don't think there was a whole lot wrong with Goku's intelligence. He was just more learning impaired due to lack of experience. Sure, he was naive and such, but in the end he wasn't an idiot.

He would be more cunning. Even as a good guy, Goku has shown a level of cunningness. Also, Pilaf managed to get all seven balls at one point. So are you saying he was a genius??
