I'm a little confused, is this just a summary of movie 8 or is this what happened in Broly's universe (Universe 20)?

Have you even seen Movie 8? It's already shown to be different because Goku is going to use the Spirit Bomb.

This is what happened in universes 4, 6, 16, 17, 18 and 20. Universe 20 will have a different ending, though.

The exact events of movie 8 didn`t happen in any universe.

Huh? Gohan, before going SSJ2 on the Cell games, impressed everybody with his power. Vegeta and Trunks were shocked. He was stronger than them. Problably not stronger than Goku, though.

No he was definitely still the strongest fighter at the Cell Game even before he transformed, Goku admitted to that himself.

Maybe Goku knew Gohan had SSJ2 in him and he was basing it off of that.

Yes he did and he wasn't even trying, he had no desire to fight.

Because he didn`t want to fight. That doesn`t make him any less powerful.

If he fought seriously he would have done a job as good or better than Goku did (before going SSJ2).

You know once I look back on Movie 8, I'm starting to think that Broly was born special. Not special in a Legendary Super Saiyan kind of way, more like a re[politically correct term] special. It would explain his super re[politically correct term] strength he gets every time he throws a tantrum.

Obviously Broly is so shocked in the second to last panel because his father suddenly came back to life to deliver justice!!!!!!

Well actually if this is a different universe (which it seems more and more likely) then perhaps Paragus was not crushed into spam and thrown into the stratosphere like in Movie 8. Or . . . the authors of this part of the story never watched Movie 8.

Anyway, Paragus's comment does make some sense if Broly tried to kill him before. However if that was the case, it would have helped showing that. More likely, another translation screw up.
