I have no idea how they did it, I just wanted to pass on the info.

I think they just remove any original audio files from the game and then add in their own choice of audio files to the disc. So I guess it would be a process of deleting, adding, and re-burning.

I'd be into doing that! I'd love to be able to redub those games! Make a Daizex Edition dubbed by us! XD just kidding.

Heh, that would be fun. We could re-dub the game using all of our voices, even change the dialog to whatever we wanted. XD

<Kaboom> Neither does Rita
<Xyex> Good point.

So we can download it...cool... But what do we have to do to actually get it to play? What steps do we have to take? Is there a possibility it won't be playable for Americans? [it must be PAL]

Burn it onto a DVD-rom, and hope your PS2's chipped... or that the DVD-rom will be region free.

You need either a mod-chip or the Swap Magic to play it.

So you burn it "as is"? And where do they sell Swap Magic? [preferably in the US]

I'm not sure how you burn it, I think it works like a patch. I'll try to find some informations and I'll let you know.

As for the Swap Magic, I bought it from a French site (who ship everywhere) so I can't really help you.

For those of you who understand a little bit of French, there is a site which explains how to use one of the patches (they'll both be released soon). Here is the link: http://daiforever.free.fr/tutorial/

What's not to understand? I can read it perfectly when translated...

I'm going to do it as soon as I get my DVD Burner, I've already replaced some files (such as switching the ACTUAL intro itself with my own Flash Movie (converted and stuff), accomponied(sp?) by Rewrite (Fullmetal Alchemist / Asian Kung-Fu Generation).

Ah yes, good times

dang it I was hoping I would be the first to do that..........oh well I am going to go further than to just fixing the audio, I am going to try and fix the japanese version with english text. I guess I will burn out one with and without japanese voice overs also. Maybe I can find some Ocean Voice overs, I hate FUNi with a passion.

I hate to break it to you, but you're Necro posting Glitch. This is a no no, you should reread the forum rules before posting again, for your own benifit.

This isn't GameFAQs. ^^; ... Though I'll agree that it's rather odd to have two of the same thread on one page.
