I want to create a box for my old 1997 DragonBall Z dub DVD's. I don't like having all 17 disc in an individual case, it just takes up to much room. Is there maybe some site that sells material to build your own DVD book? I know I seen some custom made DVD boxes for the Freeza stuff but that was about it.
Has anyone here ever created a DVD book? How do you do it?

An actual DVD book? Like the Dragon Boxes have? Not easy or cheap if you don't own your own giant media conglomerate I imagine.
You can buy blank cases of all sorts on the cheap though. From there, it's just a matter of designing and printing out your covers and inserting them betwixt the plastic sheet and the box itself.
Anything more advanced than that is likely beyond the common shmoe's means.

Well, for one, perhaps you could use a found object, like a couple of old shoeboxes that you decorated. That might be nice.
I'm assuming you mean a box, and not a book-book (though I have done the book, which involved much folding of paper and sewing, among other things), a simple method might be to use some binder's board (or other heavy, non-corrugated cardboard), decorated and crazy-glued together.
And the book-book might work. If you have time and enough paper to make it thick enough...and then hollow it out for the DVDs to go in. (Would take several books or one MASSIVELY thick one.

Do your part for the Dragon Box release. Buy 3 copies of it and use the cases to work with!

You could always Frankenstein together some DVD cases. If you mean like, something foldable like the Orange brick cases that shouldn't be too hard. You could maybe buy some cheap DVD sets with a mostly black or mostly white design on it.
Then you could try taking a hot air gun (or a really hot heater vent lmao) and warm up the glue and carefully pull-off the DVD tray part. Then you could get some high-quality photo paper and glue 'em to the blank cardboard foldout (after you've printed your sweet Photoshoppin' on them, of course ;D).
If the glue from the tray's doesn't come off easily, or won't go back on after wards, then I'm not sure what to use to get it back on. Maybe some mild epoxy? I wouldn't be too sure about what kind would work without some kind of warping of either the plastic or soaking the cardboard. It's like that damn mystery substance they use to stick things to DVD cases without leaving residue (like the back printout thing on the Dragon Box). I just don't think you can go buy that type of thing easily lol.
It would all be a matter of what type of glue to use, and for that, I just don't know.
Unless you don't mind it being semi-shitty, and just want to save the space
