I think with these memes, they're trying to target the DBZ nerd who spends his time online and knows about this stuff. But, really, they're just pissing the DBZ nerds off.

Also that Piccolo was horrible. He's normally a lot more gruff and growly.

I fail to see how Sabat doing his usual "gruff and growly" thing for Piccolo would make his voice somehow better. That's the single most abrasively irritating aspect about his Piccolo voice to be honest, and it's a vocal trait that was NEVER a part of Piccolo's character outside of the FUNi dub. It doesn't help that its always sounded incredibly phony and preposterously overdone, to the point of self-parody. If he's dropped it from any future voicing of Piccolo, count me as being glad to see it gone and considering it a step in the right direction.

Yeah, Piccolo never screams unnecessarily and makes the facial expression showing that he was supposed to be screaming

Sabat's current Piccolo (when he isn't half-assedly doing one quick take), has become a low, calm, whisper instead of the more Lanipator-esque bark that Lani parodies...

He's been using that Piccolo voice since the Ultimate Uncut episodes. It's at its best in the first 3 movies.

I definitely noticed that when I first watched my Season Five set. I thought it had been re-dubbed at first, but then I could tell that he had, in fact, modified his voice for the character at that point.

What? Yes it is, it's used in a lot of YouTube Poops as well.

It's just that none of us use it I think... It's not something you can just blurt out like over 9000 or balls being inert.

I kinda hope they go with "I HOPE MY BODY CAN TAKE THE DRAGON BALL Z DRAGON BOX!" somehow... doesn't have to be Sean Schemmel doing it, I'd take Chris Sabat doing it...

I found it amusing that the background music was a cheap stylistic copy of CHA-LA. Also, that Piccolo voice is dreadful; there's little-to-no emotion in it at all, and it hardly sounds as I remember Piccolo in the dub. Pretty bad advertisement, honestly.

Hoping to get some more details on the release soon, though!

Seriously, I guess it's cool that FUNi is utilizing stuff that came from the fandom (albeit about 3 years ago), but...it'll get old quick.
