I drew like crap just a couple years ago, and I had been drawing a long time before that. Don't be so hard on yourself.When you've been practicing for about fifteen out of twenty years, it is crap.
What do you do to practice, by the way? I learned more from getting criticism at forums, but then after that, I started learning on my own. A good place to start is learning realistic anatomy first, as opposed to anime. It gives you the proper proportions and stuff as a base of knowledge, than when you're familiar with it, you can stylize it. I didn't start learning until I tried realistic stuff first. Before that, I was drawing anime stuff, but didn't actually know what all the stuff I was doing really was. Realism helped me a LOT. But that's just a suggestion, from my experience. I'd be the last person to tell someone how to draw. Cause I've been through it before, people getting on my case for drawing a certain way. Nevermind them. Do what you want.
Super Saiya-jin Sujin: Hey, I've seen those pictures before. Weren't you the one who faved my Goku portrait on deviantART? I remember seeing those when I visited your gallery.
By the way, just a suggestion, you might wanna set all your black and white images to grayscale. Like that Goten picture, it has all those blue, green, and pink dots and stuff. Also, if you use Photoshop, you can use Image > Adjustments > Auto levels to make your pictures darker. I use it all the time.

And I scanned the Goten pic last year, that was before I got Paintshop Pro and Photoshop. Thanks for the tip though, now I know what to do with my other drawings!

I guess it's just a case of me being my own worst critic, then.
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

A really good way to darken an image is to duplicated it into another layer and set it to multiply. ^^ Works great for darkening lines after scanning.
And Super Saiya-jin Sujin, you may want to get rid of that banner before Mike sees it. ^^;

<Kaboom> I'm just glad that he now sounds more like Invader Zim than Rita Repulsa
<Xyex> Original Freeza never sounded like a chick to me.
<Kaboom> Neither does Rita
<Xyex> Good point.

I never do it that way, but yeah, that works too. I always used multiply while I was colouring. You can set a blank layer on top of the lineart and set it to multiply, then you can colour over the lineart without worrying about colouring over the lines.A really good way to darken an image is to duplicated it into another layer and set it to multiply. ^^ Works great for darkening lines after scanning.
