Super Exciting Guide. It secifically stated that the Dance was like "Character + Character" while the Potara was like "Character x Character."Duo wrote:Yeah. There's nothing that actually indicates one type of fusion releases more power than the other.
So, yeah, Vegetto is more powerful than Gogeta.

When I said, "is like," I didn't mean, "is exactly equal to."
Let me make it a bit more clear.
The Fusion Dance is similar to addition.
The Potara Fusion is similar to multiplication.
I thought this would be more apparent from the get-go because we hadn't been dealing with exact numbers that had a context since the Freeza arc.

While Ginyu was able to access some of Goku's power he was just releasing Ki then he was getting weaker and weaker. So Id say while in Gogeta's body he be strong at first then have trouble with Gotentks before getting thrashed by Gohan. Similar with what happened with him, Vegeta, Gohan, and Kurillin.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

Wow, this is one of the more interesting theories that's come up in recent years.
I say Gogeta's soul in Ginyu's body wouldn't be able to defuse, but since Ginyu in Gogeta's body has to follow the rule of the fusion since he's now Saiyan, most likely the split Goku and Vegeta will be both Ginyu-Goku and Ginyu-Vegeta.
Holy crap, what did I just write?

Something about cloning souls or something. I dunno. Go take a nap.Castor Troy wrote:Wow, this is one of the more interesting theories that's come up in recent years.

Ok, I think I've come up with some kind of chart...
Ginyu changes bodies with Gogeta = Ginyu-Gogeta (Gogeta talking in Ginyu's Body) and Gogeta-Ginyu (Ginyu talking Gogeta's body)
30 minutes later, the fusion wears off...
Gogeta-Ginyu splits back into Goku and Vegeta, making Goku-Ginyu and Vegeta-Ginyu. Even when they split, Ginyu's soul is the only one in the body, so would that split Ginyu's personality in two or just put Ginyu's soul in both bodies?
Ginyu-Gogeta either stays the same with Gogeta's voice and doesn't do any split because the rules of fusion don't apply to his body anymore, or if the rules of fusion still apply to the souls.... I wonder what would happen? Split personality Ginyu-Gogeta where both Goku and Vegeta's souls fight for dominance in Ginyu's solo body? Or of the rules of fusion still apply to the souls AND the body, would that make 2 Ginyu bodies with Goku and Vegeta's souls in each one?
What kind of monster have you people created?!

Re: If Ginyu body-switches Gogeta and then he defuses...
The way I see it, the mind switches bodies. So the Gogeta mind would be inside Ginyu while the split Gogeta would give us two Ginyus. One in Goku and one in Vegeta.

Argeed, I think if the fusion ran out then Ginyu would likely have trouble controling two bodies at once maybe.Rocketman wrote:Gogeta is a separate being from Goku and Vegeta. When the fusion runs out, Goku and Vegeta would appear again and Gogeta would still control Ginyu's body.

Re: If Ginyu body-switches Gogeta and then he defuses...
I think it's come down to:
- No soul-splitting, but Ginyu has two bodies under his control, probably confusing the fish out of him.
- Gogeta's mind might not split; either that, or Goku and Vegeta would share the same not-either-of-theirs body. The latter would probably be amusing, but the former would probably be both easier to right and more in line with... umm... Namekian fusion? If... that matters? O.O.
I think SPLIT! Ginyu has a lot of potential as a plot device, actually. So much so that I'm considering not saying what's coming to mind on the off chance I decide to do something with it. :sneak:
So yeah. I'm pretty sure Ginyu would lose horribly if he tried to fight controlling two unfamiliar bodies at once after only having experience with one. But if he gets away and such, having two bodies that can go wherever but sharing the same mind would be useful for information, extra limbs, Etc... given the opportunity, it could be well utilized.
And it'd only take Ginyu-Goku and Ginyu-Vegeta fusing and then swapping bodies with Gogeta-Ginyu to clean up the mess later.

If Gogeta's body is taken over by Captain Ginyu, and the fusion runs out, then Gogeta(Ginyu) will split back to Goku and Vegeta without Ginyu's personality. Gogeta is still in Ginyu's body, and if Goku and Vegeta fuse again they'll go back to being Ginyu in Gogeta's body.

No, it didn't. And even if it did, it's just wrong.Super Exciting Guide. It secifically stated that the Dance was like "Character + Character" while the Potara was like "Character x Character.
Seriously, we already know that Goten and Trunks would be nothing to Mr. Buu, let alone Fat Buu, whereas Gotenks would give him a serious run for his money, without SSj 3. And besides that, Goku said that the Metamors were total weaklings, until they fused and became much stronger than the sum of their parts.
