Question about MANNA.

Does anybody know anything about them? I tried looking up information on them as well as videos with them besides for Zenkai Power, but nothing came up.

I just tried to research them also and got nothing other than information that they performed Zenkai Power. Was that all that they ever did? Or maybe they are a band comprised of a mix of people coming together for one song? I don't know. Seems weird to me.

Yeah, there is lot of ''mystery'' in these projects.... like in Solid State Scouter where I can't find any info about Dragon Magic Orchestra..... I think that MANNA will be Kenji Yamamoto + singer or group of musicians.

Lot of these names and aliases are made a lot because of some artist is connected by his name with some musical style, so if he decides to make somthing different, he will also use different name as artist in current song or project.
Or it's because of some legal issues or part of ''art''.

Why are you refering to MANNA as a group?

Anyway, a while ago I've done some searching because I was also curious about this mysterious MANNA. I've found some CDs from the 90's of some Japanese singer called MANNA but sadly, I didn't keep track of it and I don't remember in which site I saw them. Maybe Amazon Japan or Yahoo.

Searching for a bit, I've found this CD and, judging from the samples, it might be the same DBZ's MANNA.

I remember someone posted a while ago that the Dragon Magic Orchestra is most likely an alias for the Yellow Magic Orchestra.

I know where you're coming from. Megumi Hinata used the names GUMI, g.e.m. and meg rock throughout her career. Weird.

I'm actually not sure if it's just a singer or a group. That's why I'm trying to find out.

Anyway, that may very well be the singer/group that performed Zenkai Power. I looked up the first song on Youtube, "YELLOW MAGIC CARNIVAL", and the singer that comes in at :29 sounds a lot like the one from Zenkai Power. Listen for yourself:

Not only that, but the album cover on the video seems to explicitly credit the artist as MANNA. Indeed--I think it's the very same! Good catch.
