Speaking of that, was there any news that this will be aired on television? If anything I think it would be aired fully uncut on Adult Swim.

Not exactly a chance of that happening unfortunately. DN woll if they decide to air the redub, will try to max out the ratings potential by having it on Toonami instead of AS.

The Blue Water dub of GT referred to it as "Hades" which was cool. Tenshinhan in the Blue Water dub of DB called it the "Netherworld" which is as equally cool.

Goku: "Let me out of here, or there'll be Hades to pay!"

Ha-ha...ha. *cough*

The company who could legally release the first two seasons was Pioneer, but the contract expired a while ago, so they no longer can release those episodes without a new contract (which I'm pretty sure isn't going to be renewed). That also includes the release of the first three DBZ movies. If you want to see Ocean involved in anything uncut, go for the movies.

Do we still get to hear "Darn" "Holy Cow" "Hoosh" "You fool" instead of "Damn" "Holy Shit" "Crap" "You fucker"... etc?
I dont know, i think the bad words make it realistic, i dont think i would be insulting someone saying "dang, you little annoying dumb guy, i really hate you", instead it would be more realistic "Damn, you bastard, i really wish you burn in hell" etc.

Sorry for the bad words, i was just trying to make a point.

There's nothing "realistic" about ANYONE in the DragonBall universe using the word "fucker" in any way, shape, or form.

AnimeLabs...

...err...so I'm guessing that Vegeta didn't call Dr.Gero a "candy-ass faggot." Damn. I should post a lot of the "interesting phrases"used by AnimeLabs.

Somebody make that thread.

No.

EDIT: "Why" you ask. Because those sentence enhancers are being saved for the big projects like movies. Which leads me to the question; why the hell are they re-dubbing the movies.

Consistency. Which is unfortunate though, because I liked the dubs of the first 3 movies (the ones released by Pioneer) the way they are.

Ahh ok, but i dont like DBZ movies anyways. The only one i like is "The Dead Zone" and its because it takes part in the DBZ storyline, instead all other movies are alternative times which dont belong to the DBZ storyline and are boring. For example, the way Broli is killed in his first movie just sucks, the whole movie is boring.

Oh well, i guess we are still going to keep hearing "Darn" "Holy Cow" "What the heck" and such...

Well, at least you can always look foreward to the occasional slip-up.

Don't piss-off the God of love, comes to mind.

That really surprised me the first time I heard it. I mean, I don't think I ever heard Porunga be called the God of love before.

I never really got that.

God of Love?

Does "Porunga" mean something like that or what?
Where's the beef?

Well, in Japanese, Dende does say that "Porunga" means "god of dreams" in Namekian. I guess that somehow became "god of love" in the dub, and led to the quote...

No it doesn't: It takes place about a year to a few months prior to Z. Goku goes to Kamehouse and meets up w/Krillin, Kamesennin and Bulma to explain everything. Rest of movie takes place. Z starts off as follows: NOBODY's seen Goku in 5 years and are shocked to find out he has a kid.

Like SO many people have said before me: I'm sure Krillin would have remembered being peed on.

As for none of the other movies taking place: Arguments still take place over the canonability (new word! :P ) of movie 13.

Don't forget movie 9. You seem to be one of the only people who actually harps on Trunks' hair, Dayspring.

Then how do you explain Garlic Jr´s 10 episodes saga, he said he was sent to the Dead Zone (movie 1) and he had escaped and then returned looking for revenge on Goku (Garlic Jr saga). Movie 1 was part of the storyline. I'm sure. And please dont come with the "Filler" answer, we know its filler, but thats not a reason to explain it that it still belongs to the storyline.

Actually it REALLY doesnt' belong in the storyline, much like the original orgin of the Dragonballs episode doesnt really belong in the story. Think about it, why does NO ONE remember it happened ever at all, like say when fighting Cell "I should have known Gohan had that power in him, he showed it when facing Garlic Jr." or something like that. They don't just "forget" old villains, Freeza is CONSTANTLY mentioned, so is Vegeta, Piccolo, and even Red Ribbon, but no one remembers Garlic Jr - the best continuity with it is Marron and even she disappears after they gave up trying with her.
