Ideas for a Burst Limit 2

Post by Piccolo Daimao » Mon Jan 18, 2010 4:20 pm

So, does anyone have any ideas about what they could do in a Burst Limit 2? How could they improve on the original?

I think they should have some of the Ultimates like one of those cinematic cutscenes in Budokai 3. A mix of the two, like in Infinite World. And don't have 2 or 3 ultimates for every character, because then we would end up with "Super*insert Super Attack name here*" for a lot of the characters.

Thoughts?

Raging blast 1 half the time the camera would move into a places where you couldn't see anything really. like sudden zoom in on rocks or when someone flies up and camera is looking it stays there for a good 3-5 seconds when the dash back down. It makes the game annoying to play at times.

I'm not saying change position or anything as the from behind camera works for these. But Budokai Tenkaichi 1-3 actually had less problems with the camera than Raging Blast had. It needs to be improved.

Have a good character roster, as well as a online multiplayer portion that doesn't need the use of ad-hoc party. ;)

That's assuming the rumors about it going PSP-exclusive are true.
"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.

Throw in weather difficulty. I want to be able to fight in blizzards, hurricane force winds, and heavy rain while they're happening and have the option of it actually affecting the characters in play. I've been wanting that in a DB game for a while now.

I'd also like to have clothing pallet-swaps the way Super DBZ did it. And Bad Man Vegeta.
How have we gone through so many Dragon Ball videogames without having Bad Man Vegeta available in at least one?
On hiatus.

Not throw out cliffhangers like for example; at the end of the Broly what-if it shows Goku as a Super Saiyan 2 but you don't unlock him.

I mean, you're pretty open about looking at cartoon porn. Why would you do that? It's fiction. The proportions of these women are not possible to reach in reality.

The look should stay the same.

The game should play like Super DBZ

I would like controls similar to Marvel vs Capcom

The story mode should be similar to Budokai 1 with a leveling up system like in Budokai 3

The game should have Online

The character roster should take from the whole series(not literally every character but try to get aleast a few characters from DB,DBZ and GT)

They should bring back tournament mode for both online and offline play

I like to see the same customization style that Raging blast had(that was cool)

Not expecting any of this but that would be my dream Dragonball Game.
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

Sorry I misread for some reason.

Burst limit 2 :

More drama pieces : I loved these for lots of reasons. But I would love more.
A new mode be it Create-a-fighter, Story designer or just an arcade mode like street fighter where every character has a unique ending.
A new type of story mode , maybe Budokai 3's tweaked to be better. Or Somethink like a cross between MK Amergedon's and Super smash bros wii.

I thought that was supposed to be a heads-up for Super Saiyan 2 Goku as a playable character in Burst Limit 2.

That was in the Tenkaichi series, not the Budokai series, if I'm not mistaken.

Improved online, perhaps a lobby system could be helpful. No story mode, unless the story is original or entertaining, then again, maybe not when looking at the Shin Budokai games, it seems Dimps really have a shitty writing staff. We have the anime to watch Dragon Ball, we don't need to see again and again, even in haych dee, 'cause Kai has us covered for that too. Go nuts with survival modes, perhaps a challenge mode really encourage us to improve. Keep the heavy hits, Infinite World really fucked that up by removing the semi-pause, it made the blow seem much less powerful. Improving the range of beam struggles would be a plus, it was basically only Kamehameha that could clash in Burst Limit, which was a damn shame.
Oh, and remove that fucking "I can blow you away by pressing R2 and Circle" shit. It was infuriating, and made landing decent combos nearly impossible, especially as you rev up the difficulty.
Obviously, the Budokai 3 roster would be nice, as well as a few extra stages, but only whiny bitches who fap while playing Sparking! games complain about that, as I've never had a problem with it.

Oh, and don't include Super Saiyan 3 Broli.

Take out those "Drama Pieces", they are really annoying when they cut you off in the middle of the fight and you have to wait untill they finish. Its kind of like that Day/Night sequence that happens in Castlevania 2.

Another problem I have with them is their unfairness, for example when you try to use a Ki blast against you opponent and just as that blast it is about to him, A drama piece sequence starts and your opponent doesn't take any damage. Seriously I've just waited that long for my Ki to charge only to have my attack do nothing, things like this didn't happen in the Budokai series (apart from the Dragon Rush in Budokai 3, but that is for another day).

Oh, and add more characters :P
