Secret code for unlocking characters in Advance Adventure
Secret code for unlocking characters in Advance Adventure
Okay, this isn't exactly new info, but I didn't know of it before today, and there's no other thread on it, as far as I know.
Straight from Bandai themselves, the secret code for activating the rest of the playable characters in the game (if you have found their portrait, that is):
Simply press "L, R, up, down, L, R, left, right, R, R, right" on the title screen. Now, enter Extra Mode, and you'll have a huge amount of new characters unlocked. Finally, you can play as Pilaf in a DragonBall game.

The site itself doesn't list the characters, and the code doesn't really unlock them either, it simply enables you to unlock characters by collecting their respective portraits (as well as unlocking the characters whose portrait you've already collected).Dayspring wrote:I can't read Japanese: who's listed as playable charas?Adamant wrote:Okay, this isn't exactly new info, but I didn't know of it before today, and there's no other thread on it, as far as I know.

And this is in the 2-player VS mode? Doesn't seem that many characters can fit in the screen counting the other ones the six that are unlocked normally...Adamant wrote: Oolong

No, that's for the main 'story' mode IIRC. The tournament mode only has those you can see plus 2 hidden (Daimao and Cyborg Tao).

<Kaboom> Neither does Rita
<Xyex> Good point.

"Mazoku" is the general term that Piccolo-Daimao's minions use to collective refer to themselves. Explicitly it's just Tambourine, Piano, Cymbal, and Drum... but when Piccolo-Daimao starts... err... taking over, the "bad people" across the world start referring to themselves as "Mazoku," too. The "ma" is the general "demon" we all know, and "zoku" is "family" or "class" or "race".
I don't own the game, so I don't know which single character that's referring to, though. There's no actual character literally named "Mazoku."

Yeah, he's not really called "Mazoku", but he's not given a name in the game, and he didn't appear in the manga or anime, so I just settled for Mazoku. He looks kinda like a Kappa with wings.
EDIT: I believe he was in the second Famicom DB game, "Daimaou Fukkatsu". He went by the name Ukulele there.

Sounds like I've missed an interesting filler ep. Damn: the Piccolo-Daimao saga was just on YTV in January/February.
