Dende and Mr. Popo in GT

Post by Dominator » Fri Mar 11, 2005 3:39 pm

They're only seen in the Bebi and I think the Super C17 saga, but where were they in the Dragon saga. If Dende is Earth's guardian you'd think he would have put in a word when the dragons appeared.

I'm not sure what this means...

Anyways, Dende becomes the Kami (God) over Earth and that's about as far as it goes. He seems to simply watch over the Earth and keep connections with the after life, but he's not like some sort of guardian warrior, nor does he call in an army of Gods to help him out or anything. He just watches over stuff, like the chief supervisor for Earth or something...

That's not what he meant. He meant that you'd think Dende would have made an appearance or something when the Dragons showed up, since he created, or re-created, whatever, the DBs.

Actually... considering that the Dragonballs fade out of existance when their creator is killed... Why didn't they just kill Dende? :P Would have saved them a lot of trouble against the Dark Dragons....

Now I wonder why Vegeta never thought of that? :P

Actually Dende does make an appearance at the begining of the Shadow Dragon saga, but he doesn't really do anything to help.

Well... wouldn't have made for good TV if Vegeta just got rid of Dende with a Garlick Gun and be done with it.

The gods in DB aren't like God in Judaism/Christianity, and when you think about it, aren't really much like any idea of gods. Kami and Dende just looked over Earth and talked to themselves about the matters, but rarely actually did anything themselves, other than offer advice and train the warriors. And they're mortal...so they don't really make good gods.

Actually the Black Star Balls were from Piccolo, i.e. why Piccolo stayed on Earth when it exploded. Killing Dende wouldnt have done any good.

He's refering to the Evil Dragon arc, not the Black Star Balls.

About that: does this mean Muuri's going to get his ass handed to him by Seven Evil Porungas one day?

That would be absolute hell.

But I doubt there has been that many wishes made by the Namekkians. As for negative wishes, most would say there were close to none.

I don't know much about the negative wishes, but I know resurrections are negative:
Revive Piccolo
Revive Yamcha
Revive Tenshinhan
Revive Chaozu
Revive everybody on Earth
That's at least 5 negative wishes right there...

This just made me absolutely laugh my ass off.

It's entirely true, though.

According to GT logic, probably :P .

Speaking of which, and relating to Mr. Popo in GT, I seem to recall him saying something right after the evil dragon was summoned along the lines of:

"I heard about these evil dragons in other galaxies. I heard they caused great destruction."

No Mr. Popo, you did not hear about evil dragons in other galaxies. Prior to DBZ you didn't even know there were other dragonballs in the universe. Either you're drunk, or you're lying. Bad Popo. Very bad Popo. Kami would be very displeased with you.

Speaking of Dende and Popo in GT, what's up with Kaioshin running scared from them when he tries to get the Super Sacred Water? Shouldn't Kaioshin have like a million times more power than either of those two? Even if he didn't want to hurt them, he can just hold them still with ki or something. I knew Kaioshin was weak compared to the Z fighters, but there's clearly no doubt he outmatches Dende and Popo! To see him running his ass off like that was so stupid and illogical, it sums up the stupidity and illogicality (is that a word?) of GT in general.
