I heard that the DBE sequel may be direct-to-video and not a theatrical release. That seems more likely to me, but if that's the case, then it will be done with a no-name director and actors. Robert Pattison or someone on the same level as him is unlikely to be cast as Vegeta (Whew, Thank God). For a direct-to-video release, actors on the level of Pattison are simply too expensive to hire.

IMDB is reporting that Justin Chatwin has said in an interview that a sequel is a go, but I have yet to see that interview anywhere or Chatwin's so-called statment even referenced by another site. The last official report of a sequel was James Marsters, but that was before it even came out in the US and people knew how crappy it was going to do in the box office. The movie only broke even by about 12 mil, which is nothing. Most major movies make twice that in their first weekend.
