Actually, if you look a FEW droplets come out of Son, but literally nothing seems to be coming out of Raditz' hole.
I see what Toei was trying to do in Kai and I actually agree, a searing ray of heat would cauterize the wound. While I think their portrayal of the "Burn" was a little odd, I don't object to it in the slightest.

Who says Ki is a searing ray of heat though? This isn't a lightsaber, after all. O_oDemonRin wrote:Actually, if you look a FEW droplets come out of Son, but literally nothing seems to be coming out of Raditz' hole.

In any case DBZ got too liberal with the blood compared to the manga, and Kai completely castrated the scene in terms of graphic content.

Hence my interpretation of "internal injury" that came from people thinking that the wound was a bruise. It's similar to some highly-skilled fighting techniques such as Fajin, a type of strike with strength that's attributed to Qi. At lower levels, it resembles Bruce Lee's "One Inch Punch" and can send a person flying while not causing all that much damage. At higher levels, it instead causes great internal injury instead of throwing the person backwards.MajinVejitaXV wrote:Who says Ki is a searing ray of heat though? This isn't a lightsaber, after all. It doesn't matter. There should be a hole there. There isn't.
And I doubt they lessened the blood to be more loyal to the manga. It's clear they were just plain censoring.

The victim of violent head trauma as an infant [...] he's a simple bumpkin with a fair share of brain damage who's natural talents to work out what's wrong compensate for his broad lack of common sense. But he's also a fighter, through and through [...] he fight until he has, in no uncertain terms, beaten his enemy on terms they can both acknowledge. He doesn't want to kill anyone, or even prove that he can win... he just wants to know he can. He's an ineffably charming bastard who's manly leanings were really incendental, and yes, the fact that he was voiced by a squeaky woman made the combination perhaps all the more charming.

Yes. I know. We all know that there's supposed to be a hole there and that there isn't. What I was saying was merely me speculating on what Toei was thinking when they came up with the alternative injury that shows up in Kai.
