The scripts are totally true to the REAL story of DBZ. The new music and SFX are great. The editing of Kai is SO MUCH TIGHTER and more exciting than the original Z. A lot of hard work has gone into this new version and I'm sure that once you see how much better EVERYTHING is about this version you'll completely forget about all these little things that worry you now. So no recasting for mentally handicapped Recoome. Faaaaantastic, I guess I'll switch over to the Japanese version when we get that far. Nothing bugs me as much as Recoome's dub voice and Kaio's. Oh well I guess we at least have conformation on a very accurate script.

The recastings listed so far are only for the first twenty episodes. The Ginyû aren't in the first twenty.

Oh, that's a relief. I wouldn't even care if Sabat just turned down the "HUUUURP DEEEERRRR HUUUUUUUURRRRR" on Recoome a little.
With every progressing game he delivers the lines with a thicker and thicker cliche' idiot accent.

Recasts are OK by me so far, but I'm still hoping that these aren't the only ones for Kai. I'm also digging the confirmation of the new and accurate script.

Recoome's and Kaiou's voices would already be a lot bearable if they lose their annoying gimmicks. This might be wishful thinking, but maybe Sabat is pushing for that instead?

I feel much better now. Hell, I'm even a little excited. Even if I completely hate the voices and/or acting, at least the scripts are accurate. Finally!

Sabat totally admitted that the old voice actor for Gohan sucked.

Lets hope they scrap those random redrawn scenes and only use the one that replaces the seizure ones. I really hope their new music is better because the Kai one.

Doubtful. The last time FUNimation tampered with footage more than necessary it caused a huge controversy.

They're not going to change any of that.

I hope Monica Rial's Bulma doesn't sound that much like Tiffany Vollmer's, but I've never heard a bad Rial performance yet.

At least Sabat seems to be dedicated to doing a great job with this dub, even if so many old cast failures are returning. I hope he can get something good out of them.

I hope so too. I really hope everybody just gives it their all on this one. I feel like the cast is capable of pulling off something good but the script is really gonna make or break the performance for many of them. I hope Goku's VA doesn't phone it in/ham it up like's he's been doing in the games recently. Sabat is really a love it or hate it thing at this point. It's a shame they didn't opt to try something new with Freeza...but we'll see. I'm hoping for the best but cautiously preparing for more of the same blandness.
I completely respect your opinion, and I respect you. I enjoyed discussing this with you, even if I don't completely agree.

You think they're gonna scrap Yamamoto's score? Lol.

Luckily for Sabat, his Piccolo sounds a lot better in Raging Blast than I've ever heard and, thanks to TFS's DBZ Abridged, I can enjoy Sabat's Vegeta.

I'll still default to the Japanese version, but if the episodes come out on PSN then they'll likely be the dub and I'd like to at least enjoy the dub enough that I can watch Kai on the go (since I don't spend enough time at home).

Well, it's not like the Yamamoto score is that much better than the Faulconer tracks.

And they might as well have the English VAs do the insert songs, too. Or else just get Vic Mignogna to do them.

(I think I just vomited a little in my mouth.)

They aren't going to be replacing anything. It's all the same footage and music. Basically the only thing different(so far) is the Voice acting.

Was there any news of this? I would LOVE to see Kai on PSN!

I think it's fantastic that Stephanie Nadolny's awful Gohan has been dropped, Tiffany Volmer's Bulma always sounded so shrill and forced, and Kyle Hebert's narrator voice sounded like a mentally deficient monster truck rally commentator.

Now if only they'd throw Linda Young out on her ass.

While I agree with the general "recast Freeza" message... isn't this a bit harsh? I mean, as much as we may not like certain casting choices, there's no reason to get so hateful about it.
