I found this nifty website which has the way to unlock almost all of the unlockables.

I've been working towards getting through all of the tournaments for the last few hours, but I keep getting bored and putting the game down. Or raped by someone online and putting the game down.

Does anyone know if the code Gamestop gave when you pre-ordered the game only works once? I ordered the game on 360 but I just bought my PS3 on Friday and I'm thinking about getting the game for it as well, but would like to find/get the code Gamestop gave for the PS3 version... just didn't know if it could only be used once.

Type with proper grammar. For the board members and the mods. The mods actually correct the mistakes themselves. I know this is the internet but for our sake type properly.

Now onto the topic. I need help with some of the difficulty. I put it on normal but sometimes the computer dominates me. I don't know why it seems weird. I hope Kid Buu isn't this cheap like he was in all the other Sparking games.

I mean, you're pretty open about looking at cartoon porn. Why would you do that? It's fiction. The proportions of these women are not possible to reach in reality.

The difficulty is very weird in this game. Some of the fights are difficult on easy mode, yet I had no problem with some of them in hard mode. It all seems very random. Which fight are you having problems with? We might be able to give you some battle strategies. (If your character has Wild Sense, use it. It's very useful)

How do you do team attacks? I try doing one with Piccolo and Goku, and nothing happen.

Ah, the Full Nelson Special Beam Cannon. Okay, first get your opponent's health into the red. Then, use a regular Special Beam Cannon. Press the buttons that show up to make the attack stronger. If you press the buttons correctly & the attack hits, it will do the team attack.

I had no problem with the difficulty, even in the "Ultimate Fight" mode (I don't know how it's called in the original English version, but it's the mode where you fight 10 opponents with growing level - until Goku and his 200 level), which is harder than story mode I think!

Here's a thing I use, but surely it will work against the AI, but not against a human player!

Try to be most of the time far from your opponent, and he won't resist the idea to throw you a Kikoha (whether it's special or ultimate). You immediately throw yours to provoke a Kikoha battle (prefer an instantaneous blast - starting with a "little cutscene" rather than a one you can charge up, which makes you waste time during animation even if you don't charge up).

You should automatically win this: don't forget both joysticks are taken in account, so place your hand on your controller so that you hands rubs both joystick in circle (what I do is place my controller in vertical between my two hands, as if for clasping except the controller is in between, one hand holding the controller and the other rubbing). To be even more efficient, you can move both the holding hand and the rubbing hand in circle. You should easily reach 99 hits everytime, and the AI can usually only go to 98 at most! Watch out though, you gotta be the first to reach 99 to "lock" the number and have a certain victory! In story mode, even the hardest AI can't reach 99 hits, so don't worry!

Once it's done, charge up your Ki while the AI is recovering. If it's already up and blasting you, you can throw in a special move to provoke a Kikoha battle again if you have enough Ki left, or just dodge and keep charging up. Then patiently wait for the opponent to throw a special or ultimate Kikoha again!

Sometimes the AI will naturally come to you. No problem, do the "punch in the stomach" thing (square - square - square - square - triangle) to incapacitate them and throw in your special or ultimate move if you can, or smash them away if you don't have enough Ki to restore the initial distance between you!

Don't hesitate rushing behind them with the maximum rush that puts you immediately behind them and doing the "punch in the stomach" thing then ultimate or special, most of the time they don't see it coming!

So you do as you please: either you count on Kikoha battles (which you can win every single time against any AI in the game if you rub the controller). It's a safe method that will inflict heavy damages. Or you incapacitate your opponent with the punch on the stomach and hit him with the best move you can do! Sometimes he will "teleport" to dodge even when incapacitated, but it's VERY rare and you can do it again right away and be sure he won't dodge this time! If you unleash your special or ultimate right after the "punch in the stomack" thing, even if they dodged or protected themselves from the punch, they should not see the special/ultimate coming!

For the "Ultimate Fight", I would recommend to stay away from the opponents though and count on the Kikoha battles, you can't afford to lose any of the battles to reach N°1 and they become pretty aggressive with time and won't let you go easily if they get close to you!

My favorite character is Super Saiyan Goku for that: for the "punch in the stomach" I can either throw in an ultimate move or do is meteor smash which is easy, powerful and gets the opponent away or right where you are so you can do it again (if he hits a area wall, since he goes left). And his ultimate is a quick instantaneous blast, great to provoke Kikoha battles every single time and inflict maximum damage! Some "thin" blast won't even provoke Kikoha battles and you'll just win (Freezer's beam, Chaozu and Ten Shin Han's Dodompa, Krilin's Kienzan combo...)

Two other things! When you move back while your opponent comes to you, he'll go faster than you to smash you and do aerial combos. When you see them getting close, don't try to get away, you won't make it: keep going back as they get close to you and when they're close enough, hold square and release it to smash them first, even if it's not far! And if they do smash you, don't count on the joysticks to save you from the aerial combo, you'll never have time! Instead, try to push the defense button and you'll probably manage to "teleport out" of the combo at some point or another of the combo (usually I manage to get out towards the third smash he gives me).

That's all the advice I got for you I'm afraid, the rest is up to you! Remember: Kikoha battles can be won automatically and inflict heavy damage, and "punch in the stomach" often works and leaves them open to ultimate and specials (among all other things)!

So to unlock more moves in the game, you will therefore get better online? Right now, I suck like crap online and get so frustrated every time some K.O.'s me with a couple of attacks.

It also helps if you don't face people that spam Gogeta/Vegetto.

"Land three Knockdown Attacks"
Did I miss something? I don't see anything labelled "Knockdown Attacks" in the manual. What specific type of attack does it mean? I thought I had tried everything, but I'm not getting the star.
A 'Knockdown Attack' is performed by waiting for your opponent to finish his falling-down animation then grabbing him while he's on the floor. You do this like any other grab (RB + B / R1 + O), but you press down with it. Make sure you perform this special grab immediately after he's floored, otherwise he'll get back up again. It's best to do a Smash Attack: Low, then a Knockdown Attack. I'm guessing the level is when you're playing as Android 17/ 18. Both characters have cool animations for this move.
VegettoEX wrote:"Perform a Super Attack after sending your opponent flying"
I've sent my opponent flying with a string of melee attacks, a charged melee attack, etc... then flick the right analog stick to do an attack... multiple times... and never get this star. What?!
Yeah, this is annoying. If you're not getting this star after doing what you mentioned above, it's because your character has different specifications for achieving it. What you're gonna have to do is perform a Snap Charge. This is when you release X/ Square just as the attack begins to flash. Then flick the right analog stick for the Super and you will see that yellow flash along the screen (I like to call these 'Strings'). When a String is performed, the time between hitting your opponent flying and unleashing your Super Attack is shortened.
VegettoEX wrote:"Make a signature skill the first attack"
By "signature skill" it means the "Circle" (or I guess "B" on 360) button, right? So... I did that. I spammed pressing "Circle" when the match began and made sure it hit the opponent first thing. And I don't get the star. Stumped, here.
When you land the first hit on your opponent, a small text will appear in the corner saying 'First Attack'. This goes to whoever damages the opponent first (a blocked or evaded attack doesn't count). This is quite straight forward: make the first hit a Signature Skill, ensuring 'First Attack' appears in the corner. However, spamming O/ B at the beginning of the match isn't necessarily the best way to go about getting the first hit; some Signature Skills have long animations, and your opponent may hit you with rush before it makes contact. You will need to change your approach depending on what character you're using. If playing as Nappa for example (he has a grab Signature Skill that takes long to do), you will have to wait for your opponent to perform a Super attack (preferably an energy beam), then move around him while he's doing it. Then grab!

VegettoEX wrote:"Perform 10 Sways"
So I sat there and spammed a bazillion sways over and over, and never got the star. Do I have to actively be swaying around the opponent's attack? 'Cuz I tried that, too (mostly on easy, which is actually DIFFICULT since the opponents rarely attack you...)
Put the opponents on HARD difficulty, then sway their rushes 10 times. Smash, charge, and ki blasts cannot be swayed.
VegettoEX wrote:"Draw your opponent closer three times"
What does this even mean?!
This can only be done as Piccolo. Pull your opponent towards you 3 times using his Signature Skill (Elastic Left Arm).
VegettoEX wrote:EDIT: So it looks like after you unlock "Dragon Ball Battle" and then win the fight, it disappears from the menu again. I'm assuming you have to meet certain requirements in the other "Super Battle Trial" modes over and over to re-unlock it, win the fight to get the Dragon Ball, then it disappears again... blah blah blah.
In order to unlock 'Dragon Ball Battle', you must achieve a high score in any 'Super Battle Trial' after winning the previous Dragon Ball Battle. For Team Battle, for example, you must beat the score shown at the bottom. For Punching machine, your score must come up on the top 3. For Extreme battle, the only requirement is that you beat your enemy. Arcade takes too long; choose an easier Trial.

Does anyone know if you have to collect 100 stars without spending them to get the achievement point? I've collected around 30 stars so far and I've been tempted to use them to unlock the saga battles.

It's better to be safe than sorry. I'd collect as many as you can without spending them. I'd think that you wouldn't be able to get all 100 without getting the stars in the extra saga battles, but I'd just go ahead and get as many as you can normally first, then see how things plan out.

What do you mean? For example, if you only got 2 out of the 3 stars for one mission? Yes, you can just go and do it again. If you're really struggling with a mission, try doing it on "Easy" for one of the stars, and then go back in on "Hard" to get it for just that one particular star.

Or are you asking if you can just keep doing the same mission over and over and accumulate stars that way? No. Stars are specific to individual missions, and can't be "banked" from doing the same thing multiple times.

The latter. Thank you. I guess I'll just have to work hard to get as many as I can.

This game has the worst unlocking system I have ever encountered, having to replay a fight with specific goals is boring and annoying.

Should have just used the D points for everything, that way it keeps you replaying but it doesn't restrict you to specific things.

Just curious if I encountered a glitch or what is going on here...

So I set up a match versus the computer using all custom characters I've made with increased health and defenses:
Gohan, Kuririn, Vegeta, Piccolo, and Goku
vs.
Ghurd, Reacoom, Butta, Jheese, and Ginyu

I started the match as Gohan and immediately after we are told to fight, Ghurd switched for Ginyu. I duke it out with him for a while and after an annoying spamming of like 4 ki barrages in a row, he charges up and uses the Body Switch. So the fight continues for a while and the computer switches out the characters like crazy while I just work my way through the ranks as I get bored of my current fighter. I made my way from Gohan, to Kuririn, to Vegeta, and finally to Piccolo while getting most of the opponents into their last bar of health before they switch out.

Now here comes the tricky part...Ginyu was in the last of his health the last time I fought him, under one bar while in Goku's body. I had just used Piccolo's rush to battle damage Reacoom into his spandex, and before I can finish him off he switches out for Ginyu...but Ginyu is at full health and in his regular body...WTF?! Ginyu didn't stay in long, and switched for Jheese, who I just killed off, and I'm now fighting Ghurdm and very confused.

So has anyone had Ginyu return to his normal body after having used his ultimate? Anyone experienced this before?
