Merchandize thread/section?

Not just a thread. That would be WAYYY to much of a cluster-fuck in of itself.

What they need to make is a Merchandise section. Right now, all the merch threads get thrown into the General Discussion section because there isn't a better place for it.

We have other sections - General, Questions, Music, Video Games, and Fan-Works. So why not Merchandise?

Yeah, a new section would be the best, but I figured that might be a bit of a hassle to make. In this new section we could post both used stuff for sale, as well as other good deals with links on where to buy stuff.

Good idea, hope the webmaster makes such a section.

It's been suggested before, and never really gets any overwhelming support from the community.

My response from then remains true right now:

I'll give it some thought. Right now, I don't see it being wholly necessary. If that changes over time (especially if the new "refresh" does anything to even further complicate and expand-upon the amount of new merch available), then it may be time.

For now, I think it's working OK. I'm always very hesitant to add new sections to the forum, due to a variety of reasons which would take a really long time to outline. Thanks for the suggestions, though.

It would for sure make things less messy if there was somewhere that all promotions, second hand sales etc could be posted.

I'll add my 2cents in this too sense I'm a lover of toys, figures, merchandising, etc. I too believe there should be a new section posted on the topic of Dragonball "goods" or Merchandising. I know there's already a site dedicated to DBZ toys and they also have their own forum, but I've tried multiply times to join but I'm was always own the "Awaiting Approval" list before I can make a posts anywhere. I waited patiently for over two months before I finally sent an email to the moderator, then another to the site's administrator asking politely about the problem I was having. Till this day I got no response.

I gave up and wished that sooner or later Daizex forum will have Toy section too. I completely understand why VegettoEX is a little hesitant to open up a new section but I just thought I should give my opinion on this subject matter.

DragonBallToys.com is good and all, but if there was a section here for merchandising it should include not just toys, but anime, manga, and posters as well.

I looked into the situation for you, but it seems I actually don't have the power to make the change myself. It would need to be an admin, so I sent a message to Oldphan letting her know about your situation. I'll let you know when I hear back. And in case you wondering the reason this method was put into place was simply to defer the spambots. We were getting hit pretty hard awhile back and requiring each member to be manually approved was really the only way to prevent the influx of the bots.

Again, you'll either be hearing from Oldphan or from me about you account approval very soon.

EDIT:I just heard back from Oldphan that your account is now active, so you should be good to go.
