"Super Saiyan Vegeta" question.
Even though I'm not a dub fan, I just love the score called "Super Saiyan Vegeta" ever since LOGII days.
Now, I know this theme has been used during Vegeta's first Super Saiyan transformation and when he fired the Final Flash on Cell.
Can someone tell me of other scenes where they used it?
If there's someone asking, here's an example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TQyWI3b9MEY

It shows up again when Vegeta fires a blast at Cell to allow Gohan to finish him off. Beyond that, I'm not sure; I haven't seen the Buu saga with the dub score in quite a while, so I'm not sure if it's used again.

Re: "Super Saiyan Vegeta" question.
I don't think that one has many weird uses beyond being used for SSJ Vegeta. It was originally written for that purpose. So just think of SSJ Vegeta scenes where he was the focus and being fairly heroic, that's where it'll be.

another one, way distorted and loud though, turn down your speakers:

Re: "Super Saiyan Vegeta" question.
These are all the ones I remember...
- Vegeta's First Super Saiyan Transformation.
Final Flash.
- Vegeta looking up into the rain (the scene when he finds out that he must ascend).
- When Vegeta sensed Imperfect Cell and Piccolo so he decided to fly over to them (only for a little bit, that scene was like 10 seconds long).
- When Vegeta attacked Cell like mad when Cell kills Trunks. (Used twice here and is a little bit edited when exchanging between the first and second).
- Vegeta attacking Cell when Gohan and Cell were kamehameha-ing away.
- There was one little scene where it was used in the buu arc during a ki attack by Vegeto.
Actions have reactions so don't be quick to judge, you may not know the hardships that people don't speak of.

It's also used when Vegeta kills Pui Pui in Babidi's ship.

Man you guys are good. I don't mean to hijack this thread but is "Groovy Disco Tech" an unused track in the actual show?

I think Ben used it at some point.Blue wrote:Man you guys are good. I don't mean to hijack this thread but is "Groovy Disco Tech" an unused track in the actual show?
That track was a half *&*ed track that was never meant to go with anything specific....Honestly I learned to hate it not long after making the final recording. While I was the main editor, I never used it even once. Ben and Mike liked it though, and I know Ben put it in at least one place in spite of my attempts to keep it out of the show ^^. He also out lasted me at the studio and succeeded me as the main editor.

Have you ever played the GameBoy Advanced game Buu's Fury? It's a track in a very cool prominent level where the retelling of the Jenemba movie takes place (namely Hell). I actually really like it. I kind of wish it was used more. I guess I have weird taste in music.cRookie_Monster wrote:I think Ben used it at some point.Blue wrote:Man you guys are good. The song was also used when Vegeta first transformed into USSJ against Imperfect Cell.

Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

Oh yeah! Major! Loved that scene, wasn't the song still playing when we had that shot of Vegeta punching Cell in the chest? Ooh chill down my spine loljjgp1112 wrote:The song was also used when Vegeta first transformed into USSJ against Imperfect Cell.

Yeah, he was another music editor hired on erm...I think early Cell Saga? Might have been late android saga.Piccolo Daimaoh wrote: Who's Ben? Did he work on the show with you and Mike Smith?
Ben was awesome, he did the entire Gohan VS Cell finale by himself with only editing. He was the only one of us who was a DBZ fan previously (moved to TX from FLA to work with us). He had all the Japanese episodes on VHS ordered from bizarre places. He knew the whole story ahead of time of course and had already told us the best part of the entire series was the Cell Saga and the end of it. I'll never forget the look of exhilaration when he came out of the editing room after finishing the last Gohan\Cell battle. I went in and reviewed it with him....didn't change a thing. He nailed it.
You can see his name in the credits in the Buu saga btw, he didn't get credit until that point I don't think.
Here's a page that has him listed, looks like from after I left:

That was him!? That guy is awsome and just as well he's a Dragon Ball fan.cRookie_Monster wrote: Ben was awesome, he did the entire Gohan VS Cell finale by himself with only editing. Wow that's awesome. The finale was great, the best bit was when Gohan first fires him kamehameha and androids vs. bikers play. I guess there's much more work involved with the dub music than people thought.cRookie_Monster wrote:Yeah, he was another music editor hired on erm...I think early Cell Saga? Re: "Super Saiyan Vegeta" question.
So he was the guy who did the music in episode 191. Damn, he did a fantastic job with it. The way the dub music was handled in that episode was one of the main reasons why that's my favorite DBZ episode ever.
