Those actually look pretty cool. I'm probably the only idiot in here who isn't entirely sure that they're bootlegs, but if they are, they're damn good ones.
Dude, didn't you see the fingers?
This...they literally give me the creeps.

The outfits here are clearly from the 'model kit' type figures from a few years ago, I recognized those immediately. The strange arm pivot point and the line across the waist look like those two, but the freaky open hands are new to me o_O

Those figures are model kits from Bandai's Full Action Kit series. They were released in the early 90s in Japan. These specific figures seem to have been customized by someone to add a paint wash to them.

Here is an image of the figures I own:

They are actually very nice figures, much better than the majority of the other figure Bandai produced during that time. (SBC)

I hope this doesn't count as necro-posting, considering the thread type.
But I just had to show you guys THIS:

And I thank you for sharing. *Tee-hee* The paint job on this is just, Wow! How do you miss that! Did the manufacture just assumed that belt thing was his penis and gave it a flesh tone color?

Seriously don't they have quality control in Japan.

That would be cool, but I certainly wouldn't wear it to the mall or something.

I wouldn't wear that either. If I did people would think I'm gay.

People would think that you prefer sexual activity and a greater emotional connection exclusively with members of the same sex if you wore a shirt that says "BAD MAN" on it?

Wow.

Maybe wanna try that one again?

No, I don't wanna try that one again. The color of the shirt and the fact that it says "BAD MAN" makes it seem gay.

Maybe that's true, and maybe it isn't. Stereotypes are a funny thing. But imagine if someone said, "I don't want to wear a beret. People might think I'm French." Which makes one wonder, "Why wouldn't he want people to think he's French? Is it a bad thing to be French?" Do you see where I'm going with this?

In all my years of fandom, I think that's actually the first time I've ever seen that insinuated, at least because of the shirt. I guess that probably means it's not the first thought for most people. It would be pretty easy to lead that into a lecture about how one should get to know people on an individual basis (such as DBZ fans "knowing" Vegeta) before judging them, rather than assuming things solely by their appearance (such as his pink shirt), but I don't really want to derail this thread any further.

I was just messing about. I don't judge people like that nor characters on whatever they wear or however they act.
Just wanted to get that clear if you thought that's what I meant. Maybe I wasn't so clear that I was just joking.

Oh, it seemed obvious to me. I was just using it to illustrate the point of "Nobody ever really thinks this, and here's why..."

Why do you care what people think? Isn't the only important thing what you think about yourself? Maybe since you said this you truly are gay?
