If I was Vegetto, I would skip all the fun and utterly crushed Broly from the first punch. I would go SSJ3 and smack him so hard that he flew above the speed of light.
If now his "God mode" (which makes me wonder, which creature/God in the Universe gave a measly Saiya-jin such a mode?) can withstand that, his psyche won't, as he can't even see anything and feels blind (the photons don't reach his eyes) and outclassed.
Pop, he goes out of the mode, and at him, I throw a booger (that I took my time picking out of my nose) that upon impact, turns him into small pieces and eventually, energy and matter are destroyed. 'Cause that's what Vegetto can do.

He wants a good fight, crushing your 1 chance to fight toe to toe with an opponant isn't the best idea. Vegetto must be bored out of his mind in his universe at least seperate they'd always have someone to fight/train/spar with.

That's a good point. If Vegetto maximum strength is SSJ2 (god I hate using the word "maximum" now) that wouldn't make a lot sense because Goku can transform to SSJ3 before he fused with Vegeta. In fact they became even stronger just at the SSJ level. There should be no reason why Vegetto can't go beyond SSJ2, especially since he's been training for 20 years! Or was it 15? Or 10?

It's possible Vegetto couldn't use SSJ3 right after the fusion, Vegeta only had up to SSJ2, so he probably had to train for it. Though yeah, it's unlikely he'd not have gotten there between Buu and DBM. I figure he's got it and is likely doing like Cell, pretending not to have as much power as he actually does so as to catch later opponents (Ultra Buu, Cell, the Super Namek) off guard.

Yeah, when you're as powerful as Vegetto your options for an all out fight are... non-existent. He'd never be able to go above base with anyone if he wanted an actual fight.

Also, I'm hoping for either Gotenks vs. Super Namek or Gotenks vs. Ultra Buu to be the next fight.

It's 20 years. No GT-relation at all, merely 10 years after the 28th budokai.

Not to disagree with Dayspring, although you do make an interesting point, but personally I like to believe that Vegetto is holding back his strength. He's only using the amount of energy needed to defeat Broly instead of going full out SSJ3. Vegetto does have a whole tournament of fighters who are still qualified and possibly stronger than he is. It would be foolish of him to blow his load prematurely before the tournament even ends.

Also SSJ3 has the disadvantage of quickly draining power. It would be rather foolish to transform to a form that drains power against a being who's constantly gaining more power. Transforming would be quite a big gamble, he would either win really quick or progressively lose.

I'm just saying he wouldn't have it by default since only half of him had the transformation. SSJ2 he would have had by default since both of them had that. Yes, fusions can gain transformations that their parts don't have, but I don't think they have them to start with unless both base parts do.

I just love a good ol' fashion head butt! I hope Broly keeps him in that hold and head butts him a few more times before Vegetto breaks free. And yes I'm still on Vegetto's side but it wouldn't be fun if he didn't get a little spanking every now and then.
