Invulnerable to attacks rings a bell? Its a totally different ability than just how much ki he has... Salagir even said that Vegetto could be at SSJ99999 and the attacks would still not really hurt him.

This fight will go on till Vegetto succeeds in destabilize him, both physically and mentally, so that he drops out of LSSJ and becomes vulnerable and Vegetto wins.

It's artistic license on Gogeta Jrs' part. Salagir's stated that Broli isn't taking any damage at all. Gogeta Jrs just drawing him with some on his own volition. That's what happens when you have one person writing the story and another one drawing the panels.

You only say that because it's Brolly. If they'd invented an OC for the fight no one would care. Same with Garlic Jr., though there would be a lot more "how's he able to keep up with Vegetto?" questions for that one.

What Salagir and the art show is that he simply can`t be really hurt by attacks.

He is not made of some super metal, so his flesh responds to blows but it doesn`t really hurt him.

So, he can be pushed and he can be resisted, but he can`t be really hurt, unless he drops out of LSSJ.

I don`t really see how the art and theory are contradicting each other.

Eh? The Golden Age Superman couldn't even fly. You're thinking the Silver Age Superman from the later fifties up through the mid-eighties (when he was still sneezing out solar systems or whathaveyou).


I figure if anyone's going to have this god-mode it might as well be someone without much personalitiy so that some other character can be spared the "Muwahahah, I cann'uh die!!" and instead have good character interactions.

Not when the invulnerable one is a character that is so wanked by the Dragonball communities, that they add a SSJ3 transformation for him to satisfy their needs.
I will never agree with anyone saying that Broly of all character needed the God mode.
To add, with Ultra Buu's regenerative powers and also probably humongous strength, he would be a great "invulnerable" candidate. Even though he wouldn't be fully invulnerable, it would be ok, since I agree with the opinions stating that invulnerability itself is an awful concept.

Ultimate Buu is uber powerful as he is and you want to add to him invulnerability?? That would make him too powerful. Thats like adding invulnerability to Vegetto who, without that, is almost without rival in this manga (and is without rival in the original series).

Brolly, on the other hand, has nothing but his invulnerability and his constantly rising ki. He has no personality, no techniques, he`s dumb as a door, etc.

Brolly as he is in this manga, is an interesting first obstacule for Vegetto to overcome, and more importantly, an opportunity to use his power without having to restrain like he normally does.
