Seriously?? I preordered my copy last week, will this mean that they'll ship it really soon?? I seriously can't wait x_x
Well, it depends. But usually, by the release date, I already have it or I`m about to get it.

Also, I never pre-order stuff. Many times, the pre-order costs more than the actual order. For example, this DBZ Vizbig Vol. 6 had a price of 15€ on the pre-order, and when it became available to order, it had (and still has) a price of 11.55€. I think some websites only charge the lowest price that they have to offer, but some don`t, and I much prefer to check the site regularly, see when its available, and then order it (usually when its brand new, it even has a discount).

EDIT: Ups, actually, DBZ Vizbig Vol. 6 doesn`t have a price of 11.55€ on bookdepository anymore. It is listed at 13.36€ now. The 11.55€ price was with the discount I mentioned, because it was brand new at the time. But its still cheaper than the preorder price.
Great! I just checked the shipping status on Amazon, and they're preparing the shipment! Though it's scheduled for delivery on the release date :p Maybe I should've just paid that extra 3.99 for one-day delivery. Oh well..

Amazon's preorder price was about .30cents less than their original prices, which isn't dramatically cheaper but hey, a penny saved is a penny earned.

Book Depository deliverys free worldwide which is really helpful, great site - I got mine from there too :D.
I hope you have fun with these, because they're really something else.

Mine should arrive later than that since it hasn`t been shipped yet and Bookdepository is sometimes slower than Amazon. But it doesn`t bother me at all, since I love that online store.

The Barnes and Noble bookstore by me has it. I'm not quite sure when I'll buy it though.

Woo-hoo, just ordered the first volume! Can't wait to get my hands on it! it's going to be a thrill like never before.
Btw, Bookdepository is really an awesome site, although not the best for manga as they are bit pricey in that department, but having free worldwide delivery is a bomb, and if you're ordering once a month it's actually a pretty good deal. :)

I just bought volume six from Barnes and Noble. :D It's just like all the other VizBigs... which isn't a bad thing.

Are there any greyscale chapters? Or the color ones are all in there in color? (I think that there should only be two chapters in color in DBZ Vizbig 6).

There are two color chapters: DBZ 192 and 210 (DB 386 and 404). So does that mean it has all the color ones?

Yes, it does. The only chapters that exist in color in those volumes are those two.

Good going, Viz.

Not that there was a whole lot of color pages to mess up.

Btw, by my calculations, DBZ Vizbig Vol 7 will have 1 color chapter (DB chapter 411 or DBZ chapter 217), DBZ Vizbig Vol 8 will have 2 color chapters (DB chapters 452 and 482 or DBZ chapter 258 and 288) and DBZ Vizbig Vol 9 will have 3 color chapters (DB chapters 501, 512 and 519 or DBZ chapters 307, 318 and 325).

So far, all DBZ Vizbig Volumes have included a minimum of 2 color chapters, so I think that Volumes 7 and 8 will also keep all the color chapters (since they don`t have to deal with more than 2).
Volume 9 will have more than 2 color chapters to deal with but I think they will keep all three because Volume 9 will only contain two original tankōbon and they will sell it at the same price as the others, despite having fewer pages. That`s why I think they won`t have problems keeping all three.

That only leaves the Trunks special Chapter which was also in color originally (only its first few pages were in color though). If that Chapter is included in the DBZ Vizbigs I bet they will include it in DBZ Vizbig 7, where the Cell saga ends. Since that volume only has to deal with one color chapter, the inclusion of the Trunks special chapter won`t rise the number of color chapters to more than two, so I predict that, if they do that, it will also be left in color.

Greenman, the Vizbig Vol 6 doesn`t have the Trunks special chapter, does it?

Gah, Trunks the Story is included, but it's not in color.

Ah, I see... That`s a shame, but its not that bad since that special chapter only had 3 pages in color. (Then again, since there were only 3 pages, they could have left them in color :| )

Anyway... I think that the next ones will have all the color chapters, because of what I explained.

Thanks for checking it Greenman.

No problem.

The missing color pages would've been nice to have but it's not a big deal to me. Any color pages are still more than the Viz tankoubon have.

Is there any reason as to why some coloured pages aren't included?

Btw, for whoever might be interested here is just how much color the DBZ Vizbigs actually have so far:

DBZ Vizbig Vol 1 -> 3 potential color chapters ; 2 color chapters included.

DBZ Vizbig Vol 2 -> 4 potential color chapters ; 2 color chapters included.

DBZ Vizbig Vol 3 -> 2 potential color chapters ; 2 color chapters included.

DBZ Vizbig Vol 4 -> 3 potential color chapters ; 2 color chapters included.

DBZ Vizbig Vol 5 -> 2 potential color chapters ; 2 color chapters included.

DBZ Vizbig Vol 6 -> 3 potential color chapters ; 2 color chapters included.

Overall, so far, the DBZ Vizbigs kept around 71% of the color chapters intact.

Notes:
- I think that its obvious that Viz is clearly setting a rule of 2 color chapters per DBZ Vizbig Volume. That being the case, DBZ Vizbigs 7 and 8 should have all their color (like I said). The question is the last one since it has 3 of them. We`ll see.
- Around 71% of the color chapters intact is not bad at all, especially compared with the DB Vizbigs which had around 55% of the color.
- If the remaining Vizbigs have all the color, the DBZ Vizbigs will keep 78% of the color.

Probably because of cost management.

The Vizbigs are already much cheaper than the regular editions, but they also have high quality paper and printing, color, etc. Not putting all the color pages keeps the costs down.
